Pet care experience
I have a cat (Ellie) who is 10. I used to have a dog (Sergeant) 6 who I had a great attachment to. Unfortunately, my ex kept him. He was a German Shepard/Akita mix. A lot of allergy issues. Probably one of the most expensive investments I've ever had in my life. But it was worth everything, because he made my mental health so strong. Growing up I have had dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, love birds etc...I've dog sat many times before. Very consistent on giving updates to the owners. Strong intuitions of the pet's needs. I've walked many dogs in my past. One of my favorite things to do. Plus, hike with them. I am very calm. Very patient. Full of care. I completely understand that these are not just pets. They are your children. And require the same love, respect, and attention.

Sarah did an amazing job caring for our puppy, dog and cat while we were away. Juggling puppy with high energy, an old dog with medical needs... and an unexpected snow storm. She communicates with pictures and updates about the animals thru her stay and even went above and beyond with snow removal! We could tell all went well with how content our animals were upon our return. We will definitely use Sarah again to care for our pets!
Sarah was wonderful. She was available for our last minute request, made the effort to come meet our pup before we had to leave, and sent tons of updates. She went above and beyond with our dog’s car and exercise! I’m sure our dog is sad we are home and Sarah is gone!

Sarah is one of the most qualified dog sitters I know. She had experience with dogs of all sizes, including taking care of my adorable Pom, Moxxi. They played. Went for walks. Had some food and even some healthy treats, and Sarah made sure she had a comfy spot to take a nap. Moxxi loves spending time with Sarah and I would recommend her to anyone. From outdoorsy adventure loving dogs to pampered floof dogs, Sarah is the best.

My dog was very well behaved. We trained him on our own. Never used a kennel with him. Barely had to use a leash because he stayed by my side the whole time. Respectful towards dogs. Was great with younger children. Very gentle. Our dog, and I had a lot of respect for each other, and I think that made a huge difference. My cat is also very well trained as much as you can train a cat, I guess. I've learned that you need to be very calm, and patient with animals. They are smarter than we think. They need a lot of love, and a lot of care.

Definitely little quirks they do. Key words to say to respect me so I have some type of order with them. How they are with other dogs. What they prefer as far as walking preference. Allergies. Medication.
A typical day
A typical day would depend on what the owner suggests. If they enjoy the dog park more than around the block or going on trails, that's totally fine! If they enjoy exploring and are more independent we can also look for new places to go. Swimming is always fun. I like to switch it up, and the goal for me is to tire them out stretch their legs, and enjoy the outdoors.

Availability
I just moved to the area. I felt this is a perfect way to stay active, plus it makes me happy. Being with animals is one of my favorite things to do. This to me is more of a hobby than a job, really!
