I am writing to express my support for Sarah Phelps in her application with your organization. I coordinated the Volunteer program at the PetSmart Cat Adoption Center in Oak Ridge TN where Sarah was a volunteer. Sarah became an integral part of our team, volunteering twice weekly helping to clean, feed, care for and facilitate adoptions for the shelter animals at the Center. A positive team player, Sarah would arrive immediately after working a fulll day on her feet. She has an excellent work ethic. and came with firsthand knowledge and love of cats and kittens. She is a quick study and learned the protocols for caring for the animals at the Center in record time. She has a quiet and gentle manner that suited the situation, especially interacting with stressed animals and excited potential adopters. Sarah is a mature, resourceful and reliable co-worker who wants to work with animals as a career. I wholeheartedly endorse any studies or experience working...and playing...with animals that Sarah feels is right for her.
