Hi everyone! I've been on Rover for over a year now and have several years of experience caring for all types of dogs. My preparedness, responsibility, and knowledge of dog behavior set me apart as a sitter. I take the responsibility of caring for your dog and home seriously. It is important that your dog is comfortable, cared for, and stimulated while I stay with them. I am particularly passionate about dog behavior and emotions. I tend to watch dogs closely to see if they are bored, nervous, happy, tired, etc so I can meet their needs and ensure the dog is as happy as possible. Some examples of this include: - using training treats on a walk to build engagement with your dog and prevent them from reacting to another dog - only interacting with your dog when they want it (and letting them be when they need space) - using sniff games and snuffle mats to entertain your dog and keep them stimulated When I arrive to care for your dog, I bring a "dogsitting go-bag" equipped with treats, different toys, lick mats, etc. so I'm ready to make it a great experience for your dog from day 1. I also aim to be highly flexible - I always leave a buffer in between bookings in case my client's flight gets delayed or they are unable to get home at their scheduled time for some reason. This takes some of the stress off when you're trying to get home! I am saving up for a home of my own, but I do this because I truly love the dogs and I want to minimize people's worry when they leave town.
