Hello! I'm Sarah - Please read my profile in its entirety before requesting a service! Important Notes - 1. I am now doing Rover part-time, this means that my availability will vary based on my work and travel schedule! I keep my calendar updated approximately 1-2 months out; please contact me directly if you are concerned about a booking further out. Bookings are confirmed no more than 30-45 days from the start date! 2. Garage/front door codes are preferred. Any key pick-up or drop-off that takes place outside of the meet and greet or actual booking are subject to a $10 charge each way to account for time and mileage. Now that that is out of the way, I am a writer, editor, and crafter located in Volo, IL with a passion for pet care! I have cared for cats and dogs of all ages both professionally and personally for years; I have been active on Rover since July of 2022. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pets when you go out of town, and my ultimate goal is to alleviate any stress and provide peace of mind. I am a huge cat person and specialize in their care. I am experienced in reading all ranges of kitty body language and cues, and I will always respect your cat's boundaries. I have extensive experience in administering medication including pills, powders, liquids, injections, and even subcutaneous fluids. I have specific experience managing Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetes, and Pancreatitis, and with following unique diets and schedules for the extra special kitties and pups. Here is what you can expect when booking with me for the first time: 1. Professional, timely replies 2. An in-person, efficient meet and greet to iron out any concerns and learn your pet's schedule and needs 3. Detailed visit reports with a play-by-play of your pet's activity, as well as lots of pictures 4. Peace of mind - I am independently insured outside of the Rover Guarantee, and am available to respond to any concerns that may arise 5. The opportunity to re-book in the future if you were happy with my services!

Services included with my visits at no additional charge consist of bringing in the mail, managing trash, and watering plants (within reason). Please note that all indoor and outdoor cameras must be disclosed prior to service; undisclosed cameras will result in an immediate cancellation. I do not mind being on camera, but require a heads-up so we can be on a level of mutual trust.

All new clients will be required to fill out a brief intake form prior to our first meeting. This form covers pertinent medical, behavioral, and home information. I require a meet and greet with ALL new clients and will not start a booking without one, so please plan accordingly! At the meet and greet, please be prepared to cover the basics - food, water, and bathroom/litter. If your pet requires medication, I would like to know your routine, frequency, and any symptoms that I may need to manage.
A typical day
A typical visit with your pet depends on what they would like to do! For kitties, I always opt for some playtime followed by cuddles and treats if they're up for it. For the pup clients, you can't go wrong with a walk or playtime in the backyard followed by some belly scratches. I'll adapt to the energy and comfort level of your pet, ensuring that every visit is stress-free and works around their interests.

Availability
My hours are from 7 am to 7 pm. I have a flexible, hybrid office job that typically occupies my daytime during the week. Bookings that fit best into my schedule are twice-a-day (morning and evening visits) as well as (preferably flexible) once-a-day visits. Weekends are an open book! Please inquire if you are interested in visits that would fall outside of this availability.
