I'm here for doggie-love dopamine.

Pet care experience

Outside of owning and caring for dogs growing up, I've also long-term dog sat 2 pit-bulls when I used to live in Los Angeles, taken care of friends pets and I currently work a front desk of a doggie daycare. Most of my experience is being able to drop-in and care for a pet (do a quick feeding and/or potty break) or do over-night stays in a home to ensure safety of the pets and the home (get a dog-sitter and house-sitter in one with me!). I've worked as short as a weekend, as long as a week and I am open for longer/bigger opportunities if any were to come my way for over-night stays! I'm also willing to do a meet and greet with a dog(s) to ensure we're a good match to be buddies before any major services need to be done!

Sarah was great with Doc. She gave him love and attention. She was reliable, easy to work with. She sent us pictures that showed how well he was cared for. I want to use Sarah in the future.

Sarah was so amazing with Eevee. I was so thankful that she was available and so accommodating. Thank you Sarah for taking such good care of my fur baby.

Sarah was so great with our two pups! She would stay at our home and watch them overnight which was very important to us. Besides the normal feeding and bathroom duties, she gave them countless cuddles and attention and always made sure to keep us updated with photos. She handled our two big dogs happily and easily. But most of all she is a wonderful and trustworthy person and made us always feel at ease knowing our dogs were being well taken care of while away.

Sarah has been an absolute gem when it comes to dogsitting my pups. I have 3 dogs of varying sizes and similar energetic behavior. One of my dogs needs medication as well. Sarah is attentive towards my dogs' needs, kind to them, and all around a person my dogs just enjoy being around. They are always relaxed and happy around her. She also always leaves my house as when she arrived. She cares not only for the wellbeing of my puppers but the environment they live in as well. I regularly have her dogsit for me and recommend her for everyone that wants an amazing and caring petsitter!

Safety, trust & environment

I typically will not care for pets in my own home since I do have a roommate (aka a complete stranger to your doggo), and live an apartment complex with stricter rules about animals being on the property if not previously approved on my lease (my complex also has dog breed restrictions). When it comes to being able to come into your home to provide care, I will respect any and all rules and directions when it comes to your space and home whether it's rules for the dog or for me to follow! As stated in my scheduling I can/will stay with the pet the whole time I am there, if I'm not at work (which we would be able to discuss beforehand). When I take on Pet-Services I believe that the pet always comes first while under my care and is my biggest priority! I absolutely love dogs and wish I could have my own again, but until then I thoroughly enjoy caring for others dogs as if it were my own, and making sure they have the best time while they're with me!

Information Sarah O. would like to know about your pet

Whether your pets are dog/animal or human reactive and what they do when they comes across either (ex: if you dog doesn't like crossing paths w/ other dogs or if they have a strong stranger danger sense w/ humans they don't know - how do they react to these and other similar situations)? Does your pet resource guard and what's the best way to approach this (ex: once food/treats are on the ground will they growl or get defensive if I were to approach it while cleaning/picking it up, if I have to move a bed will they get defensive, and other similar situations?) If there's more than 1 pet in the household: How different or similar are their personalities and needs? Does anything for them have to be done separately or together?

A typical day

For full-of-energy pets: I enjoy being able to take them out and about (whether in their yard or around the neighborhood) and let them get some outdoor time to run around and get their energy out so they are good for bed at the end of the day and are happy with their new sniffed out discoveries! As for low-energy pets: I can give them their space or all the cuddles needed for them to be happy in-between food & potty breaks and make sure whatever chill time they need is supplemented properly. Then if you got a fur-baby who's a little bit of both: I'll go based off of their mood and behaviors and do whatever it is they may be asking from me in the moment. Overall, I will do what is best for each dogs individual needs :)

At my doggie daycare job I work 3-4 days a week and have a various schedule of days and hours (8 & 12hr shifts) that are during the week and weekends. I get my schedule weekly and will update my Rover availability weekly as well. For drop-ins or walks I can always try working with you to see if there's a specific time that would work with the both of us if my services are needed during one of my work days. As for overnight stays I am more used to staying over, taking care of a dog(s) in the morning, being able to go to work, coming back to a dog(s) after work/in the evening to care for them and repeating, when I have work during overnight stays. But I am also willing to work arrangements ahead of time where I could ask off from my job to give more priority to our arrangement, if you have a fur baby who prefers someone is always home with them! Overall, I can try making it work or can plan ahead with you!
