Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a freelance designer working out of my apartment in Williamsburg. Rover has been a life saver for me and my pup, Henry, and I aim to provide the same amazing care for others. My schedule is flexible and I love dogs... what could be better than this! I will love and care for your fur baby as if they were my own. My Henry was rescued from a farm two years ago and both of us went through extensive training (group classes and private lessons) to learn how to take care of each other. Now he is the most calm and happy little guy (he’s about to be certified as a therapy dog!), and l’ve learned how to read doggo body language and anticipate his needs, wants, and the signs of stress that lead to unwanted behavior. I am all about positive reinforcement. Dogs (and all animals) give us unconditional love- why give back anything less? I know how emotional it can be to trust your fur baby with a total stranger. Rest assured I will proved all of the care and attention you would want your pup to have in your absence. I’ve had animals my entire life: Henry for 2 years, a wonderfully silly parrot before him for 18 years, as well as hamsters, parakeets, fish, and other little critters. Not to mention a younger brother (just kidding... sort of...). I’m also great with plants. Coming from the other side of the Rover experience, I understand the value of constant communication and photo updates. For daycare and boarding, I will only accept non-aggressive dogs and dogs who play well with others. Since they will be sharing space with me and my pup, I want to keep all creatures happy and safe. My apartment is also not huge (railroad style 1br), so only dogs less than 50lbs or lazy, gentle giants. Please let me know all about your pup- likes, dislikes, the little and big things that might cause anxiety (and how to calm them down), favorite place to be pet, food schedule, bathroom schedule, particular habits, allergies, noise level, how well they socialize with other people/pups/creatures, if they like the dog park (I’m a short walk to the McCarren, Donino, and Buswick Inlet dog runs), favorite treats... anything to help make the transition from your home to mine as easy as possible for them!
