Work from home - flexible+friendly

Pet care experience

I can easily adjust to different dog personalities in a variety of situations. I have experience with rescues, thoroughbreds, mixes, puppies, and adults. My family has had multiple dogs throughout my life and I've helped raise all of them. Craving the companionship in the city! Just can't afford to have a dog myself. Sooooo this is a way to connect with my favorite animal and help someone out. Pick me - I'll be great. Let me know any and all preferences with your dog so I can make you feel comfortable and at ease, no matter the situation. I'll keep a clear communication line and give you updates, concerns, and any amount of conversation that you'd like. I have one roommate who is at work all day, so he won't spend much time with the dogs, out side of evenings and parts of weekends. He's a dog lover and would be happy to have any pup in our apartment.

I have known Sarah for the past ten years, and have not one negative thing to say about her! I got a dog in October of 2016, and anytime I need additional help (dog walking, feeding, bathing, overnights) Sarah is my go-to girl. She grew up around dogs so she is extremely knowledgable, not to mention incredibly loving and respectful! I highly, highly, highly recommend her to any / all in need of a dog sitter!

Sarah grew up taking care of two golden retrievers, so she's had a lot experience in the doggy care department. She's extremely generous and caring to all of her friends and family, and always there when you need her. I would trust Sarah to be an excellent doggy mom, even if she's just caring for a dog for a few hours - she'll give it her all!

Sarah comes from a family of dog lovers -- between her parents and her two brothers, there are as many dogs as human beings in her family. Having grown up in that environment, there's no question that Sarah is great with dogs. But you'd have to be if you wanted to become a dog sitter/walker. More than anything else, with humans and with pets, Sarah's responsible. As a friend of hers for many years and a roommate for almost one -- and I've been compared to a dog on more than one occasion -- I have first-hand knowledge of how trustworthy, attentive and fun she is. Your dogs will love her -- and you will too.

Information Sarah N. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know a brief description of the dogs personality so I can anticipate energy levels and potential activities. And of course preferences on crating, furniture, amount of time needed for different things, and any rules in general. No breed preference, but it'll be helpful to hear what the shedding situation is.

A typical day

I live next to Tompkins square park in the east village and can take dogs there, and take them to the dog run (if they're allowed). I also have a car in the city and can drive around to different parks if you're ok with that. Otherwise, we'll explore the areas around my apartment, including walks along the east river.
