I cannot recommend this sitter. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but she caused undue stress during my dog’s stay. First, she wasn’t home for drop off and said her brother is there. He doesn’t have access to review my dog’s profile so I told him the worst because I also don’t know his dog experience! He had a baby there too so I told him not to let my dog around the child or other dogs. Even the friendliest family dogs are still animals and can act differently, especially in a different environment away from their owners. I think it scared him because as I am on the road for our weekend trip, Sarah sends a message “My brother said your dog isn’t getting along with my dog”. What?? Her profile said she has no children, no pets, in a house with a yard. Now she has a baby and dog present and her home is an apartment on 3rd fl. I screen sitters for other pets and kids to minimize risk of harm to both parties. It was easter weekend and I see that she has a history of last minute cancelations. I could not come get my dog, I don’t know what she expected with that statement, she wasn’t even home yet to meet my dog. She didn’t respond to me for hours when I asked if everything was alright and only said “Yes”. She put minimal effort into communication and only when I asked for an update the next day. I don’t even know what kind of dog she has, she didn’t share any information about it. She sent three photos but it was mostly of my dog’s back on a leash, just to show he still exists?? My dog was withdrawn for 2 days after pick up. I doubt there was any play or interaction. I also bathed him and washed everything right away because her carpet was very dirty and I don’t know if her dog is treated for fleas. Again, I don’t like leaving bad reviews but she had opportunities to communicate and reassure me and fell short.
