My husband and I recently moved to North Carolina from Boston, MA, though I am originally from Louisiana. While my husband works full time, I am just out of a Masters program, and I am in a transitioning phase. I can’t imagine a better way to rediscover my goals and ambitions than spending the day playing outdoors with your pet or grooming and cuddling with them! Professionally, in college I was hired to look after a 100 pound brown lab mix. He was poorly trained, so he could be unintentionally aggressive. However, he and I found our rhythm and I was one of very few sitters trusted to care for him. Also, for a short time in Boston I was contracted with “Suburban Paws” to facilitate to the needs of a sweet, brown Vizsla named Nellie. She had major separation anxiety and was in need of constant entertainment and petting! But she was a gentle and loving dog and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her! Personally, I’ve cared for family pets, usually 3 or 4 at a time, all of my life! My fondest memory was when my dad would take my siblings and me on runs and bike rides. Our two beautiful Golden Chows, Buff and Sam, who we rescued after hurricane Katrina, would pull my sister on her bike always racing to be the dog in front! Afterwards, we’d go home and lay on my mom’s cold floor to cool off together, dogs and siblings- side by side! I don’t have a childhood memory that doesn’t have a couple of dogs or cats in them! I look so forward to meeting, playing, and loving your family pets as I have always loved and cared for mine!
