Reliable Pet Sitter/Walker!

Pet care experience

Hey there, my name is Sarah and I've been using the Rover platform on and off for roughly 4 years caring for your pets! Pet-sitting is a job I genuinely look forward too, I love meeting new people and their furry friends. I am currently working towards a Wildlife Conservation and Management major at Delaware Valley University in order to find a career in environmental education. Because of my commuting student situation, that means I can service more clients both in Morrisville/Yardley and the Doylestown area! *Starting June 2019 I will be completing an intensive internship that will greatly limit my available time for sitting. For this reason, I am only accepting repeat clients from June - August this summer. Apologies for any inconvenience. *

Just want to say thanks to Sarah once again for taking such great care of our dogs while we were out of town visiting family for the holidays! She makes it so easy for us to relax and enjoy our time with family. Our dogs are happy when they get spend time with Sarah. She is super reliable and goes above and beyond what we expect every time. My only fear is my secret will get out and she will become so popular we won't be able to book her in the future:)

Information Sarah M. would like to know about your pet

I do not have any breed preferences but I generally do not accept dogs over 75lbs for walking. I know my own strength and for everyones safety I try to avoid this, as it can lead to injury or an escaped animal. I do specialize in older dogs. I grew up with an amazing Sheltie, full of love but also with very sensitive needs. In her last years her mobility was greatly decreased, and had very little eyesight and hearing left. I also regularly watch a friends older Cockapoo with similar issues. Living through this I've learned the importance of patience and unconditional love, as well as the practical skills like administering medication. If you have an older dog or a dog with special needs, please don't hesitate to contact me! I make it a point to work with my clients and learn the required routine to ensure the most comfort for your pup. I also have experience caring for and working with reptiles, amphibians, and insects, so if you have a more unusual pet that needs care please let me know, I'd love to be able to help.

A typical day

Every dog is unique in their behaviors and needs, so as a dog-sitter my goal is to understand and meet these needs, while providing a safe and fun experience. I really enjoy working for Rover because I really believe that just like humans, dogs benefit from routine and comfort. My goal as a sitter is to come in and facilitate that routine, so that even while you're away your furry friend(s) won't experience any anxiety or disruptions Is your pooch a never ceasing bundle of energy? Great! I would love to walk your dog around the neighborhood, or run around and play with them in the park for a while. How about older dogs, or dogs with special circumstances? No problem! I have experience administering medication orally to my own dogs, and have the patience and commitment to work with what some may consider more "difficult" dogs. While your dog is in my care I offer photo and text updates as often as you would prefer, to ensure that you are comfortable and satisfied with my service. In case of emergency I have a reliable car for transportation, as well as knowledge of veterinary services in the area. While under my care, your pet will be treated with the same care and attention as if they were my own.
