Hello! I'm Sarah Rose. I started pet sitting when I was 16 years old for my neighbor and love hanging out with pets! I've cared for many dogs and cats through all stages of life, from puppies to seniors. My family used to foster care litters of kittens and their mamas when I was younger, and caring for other people's animals has always been something I've loved. We've always had at least one dog in the home, but usually more like 3 or 4! I've seen a lot of dogs through all stages of life and have learned how to calm anxiety in dogs. I've spent time in behavioral dog training programs and have learned how to read and communicate with dogs very well. I usually keep my camera on me while pet-sitting and might send/leave you a professional photo... or three! I am a full-time photographer which allows me to create my own schedule and do most of my admin work from my laptop anywhere in the world. I'm very trustworthy, caring, and clean. When sitting, I will always clean up the house before you come home, including all linens and towels. I think one of the perks of having someone stay in your home is finding it just a little cleaner when you get home! My fiancé, Trent, usually comes to meet & greets with me and helps me walk any dogs that pull too much on the leash for me. For safety reasons, I let him know where I am when staying at new houses.

Thank you, Sarah! We just returned home after seven nights away and our animals are happy, our garden and yard healthy, our house clean and our sheets ready to be slept in—AMAZING to travel for so long and have such peace of mind. Wow! The best experience we have ever had with leaving our home and dogs to someone. Sarah took such good care of our dogs that are both on meds. She took them for walks and I felt she cared for them as if they were her own. Our home looked better than it did when we left. She cleaned everything, sheets, towels, counters, etc. She took care of our yet to be planted vegetables plants. Sarah is very respectful and responsible and always has a smile on her face! She is a gem! We knew before we left that our home and dogs were in great hands. We even got some adorable pictures of our dogs! Thank you Sarah!
I hired Sarah to take care of my 14 year old male Shi Tzu Spike for 5 days in March. She gave him loving attention, including walking him every day and grooming him. Sarah is meticulous about animal care. Before accepting a dog sitting responsibility Sarah meets the dog and family before she accepts a position.

I love spending time with pets during the day and night. If your dog or cat is high energy we will start the day out with some play and exercise to keep them active and get those anxious nerves out. I love giving lots of pets and snuggles and bring along my favorite book or my laptop so I can stay with your pet all day. I try to keep your pets daily schedule as regular as possible, so we will go for scheduled walks and feedings as you normally would.

If you dog has any behavior issues (bites, resource guarding, dislikes men, reactiveness, etc.) please let me know and give as much detail as possible. I would also like to know if your dog is up to date on all vaccines and if they are fixed. Please inform me of any food allergies and their regular feeding schedule and amount of food, as well as medications they are on. Are they allowed on furniture or sleeping on the bed? And lastly, what's your favorite cute thing your pet does??
A typical day
I've lived in Spokane all my life and know a trail or park on every side of town! I love playing with high energy dogs in the yard or on a long leash at the park. Having your dog preform tricks and obedience activities for treats and food is a great way to mentally stimulate them! Towards the evening we will wind down and get some good snuggles in while watching a movie or reading a book.

Availability
I am a professional photographer by day, pet sitter by all hours. I make my own schedule and most of my work can be done from anywhere. I plan my months out in advance and don't schedule any photoshoots when I'm sitting, except maybe with your pets! ;) I am an avid walker and love playing fetch and giving belly rubs. I promise both me and your dog will be well exercised and active while you are gone. I make extra sure your dog is thoroughly exercised the day you come home to help calm their nerves.
