Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Sarah 👋🏻 I provide warm, attentive, and personalized boarding experiences for friends seeking a home away from home. I have 8 years of direct experience caring for others' cats alongside my own. I currently live with my 5-year-old cat, Rex, and two retired lab rats, Gary and Carl. We can't wait to welcome your cat to our home! One of my favorite parts of being a sitter is watching your cat blossom from a shy newcomer into a playful, relaxed, and confident member of our household. Staying in a new place can be overwhelming, so I take extra care to make sure each cat feels safe, secure, and at home with us. Cat parents appreciate my level of care and attentiveness, especially in providing personalized daily photo updates of their furry loved one.
Reviews
Sarah was so attentive and caring to my little, old dog. I would definitely have her take care of my dog as well as refer her to friends!
Sarah is amazing!! She is thoughtful and caring and very knowledgeable about animals. She has cared for my Chihuahua twice while I have been on vacation and will be caring for him again soon. She is patient, available to the pet parent and her costs are very reasonable. She goes above and beyond in care and provides for each unique dog needs. Makes trips possible for this 78 y/o dog mom.
Sarah is an excellent communicator and very careful. We had a meet and greet within 24 hours of my request to book where she asked lots of questions to ensure Cooper’s stay would go smoothly. She sent photos and daily updates and was flexible with pickup. I will definitely rebook with Sarah.
Sarah has been my #1 choice for watching over my 3 year old Boston Terrier whenever I need to be on-site for work. She's extremely thorough with keeping up with my dog's daily routines, especially when it comes to play time! It's really sweet to see my dog light up whenever she sees Sarah. I'd highly recommend her to any cat or dog owner, but especially with dogs that are a bit more on the anxious side.

All guests have free roam of the one-bedroom apartment and are allowed on all furniture. Litter boxes are scooped daily. I also have two pet rats named Gary and Carl. They remain secured in their enclosure at all times while guests are in the home. Most guests are initially curious about them, but soon lose interest when they realize they're not coming out to play. Some of my guests are initially quite anxious to be away from home and around new friends. I'm very attentive to kitty body language, and I follow the lead of each cat to help them to feel calm and grounded in their new environment. Whether anxiety relief involves extra playtime, lots of cuddles, or respecting their space, I observe their needs in the moment and meet them where they are. I provide daily photo updates if desired, and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have for me before and during your cat's stay. I care about your comfort and peace of mind just as much as I do your cat's.

Information Sarah M. would like to know about your pet
1) Meals — What does your cat eat, how much, and at which times of day? 2) Temperament — How is your cat when first meeting new cats, dogs, and humans? Are there any specific fears or behaviors it would be helpful for me to know about to take the best possible care of your cat? 3) Favorite activities — How does your cat like to play? Any favorite toys? How do they like to relax? Do they prefer to cuddle or to be given space when resting? 4) Vet and emergency contact information — Who is your vet? Aside from the vet, who should I call if there were to be an emergency involving your cat?
A typical day
Kitty guests get plenty of active playtime to keep those hunting instincts sharp. Around here, our favorite toys are the feather teaser and the laser. All that playtime means lots of rest time, too. The couch and the bed are open to all guests. There are plenty of places to perch around the apartment, including the multi-level cat tower and the window seat overlooking the captivating activity of the street.
