Hi there! I'm Sarah. I grew up with animals (cats, hamsters, and a shih tzu named April!) and fall hard for all furry friends I encounter. As an adult I've adopted two pups, first a sweet and opinionated senior cattledog who passed this spring, and recently a 2 year old stray who came to the mainland from Hawai'i. I'm generally very patient and calm, so do well with anxious pups who might need a little more understanding. I walked dogs in college and loved getting to know their unique personalities, quirks, and joys. I have a flexible schedule, so am here for last minute or one-time walks, but would love to build a relationship and trust with your dog. I have not watched dogs professionally, but have done stays for up to a week at a time with the dogs of friends over the past several years. I am adaptable and happy to adjust to the needs of each pup. My own dog, River, is much more trusting of animals than humans due to past trauma, so I would love to schedule overnights with pups who also do well, or even better, when able to connect with other dogs.
