I’ve had a dog in my home since I was born. I love dogs and have dog sat/walked dogs for years, ranging from small Cocker Spaniels to extra large Great Danes. Dogs are apart of the family and I treat every dog with love and compassion. I believe in transparency with owners and keeping communication open. I am at work from 7 - 2 Mon - Fri during July. I have roommates who are home sporadically during the day and can help let the dog out, and I am fully home on the weekends. I have a large crate as well, and I would prefer your dog was in the crate or sectioned off in an 8 by 8 pen if nobody is home (but we can discuss this). Your dog would only be in the crate for short periods of time if I had to run an errand, or if I am at work because I know your dog is safe there. I do not have a fenced in yard but I am on a quiet street and near a beautiful large park. My dog goes out without a leash and he stays with me, other dogs I have watched needed to be leashed to go outside in my yard and that is fine. Whenever I take a dog outside I am actively watching them and with them the entire time. My own dog has to be watched to make sure he doesn’t eat things he shouldn’t, so I treat every dog like they need to be closely monitored while outside. My dog is an extremely friendly Labrador Retriever, but in the case that things are not working out between our dogs, I may need to utilize my crate more frequently or switch to in home visits instead of boarding.
