Home Away From Home for Your Dog(s)

Pet care experience

Hello Fellow Dog Lovers! I am Sarah and I would love to watch your pup(s) while you are away. I live in a single family home with fully fenced in back yard (6 foot privacy fence). The other resident is my dog Ziggy - a 35lb Pit mix. She loves playing with other dogs and hopefully your dog(s) will love her too! My Mom, Julie, and her dog Harvey have found a home of their own in Georgetown, TX! Harvey is a 57lb Shepard Mix and still comes over often to play. I am a very experienced dog owner and volunteered for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in the DC area for around 5 years. Over that time I have fostered over 60 dogs in my home and have helped to find them loving homes of their own. I have had all different breeds, ages, sizes, temperaments, and welcome them all. I moved to Cedar Park, TX in January 2018 and will be working from home so your pup(s) will get lots of attention, time outside, and walks. If you think your dog would enjoy hanging out with my pack while you're away contact me to schedule a meet and greet! NOTE: Please provide pickup and drop off times at the time of booking whenever possible. An hour window is fine with me. I will need these time windows before dropping your dog(s) off in my care. I am very flexible with timing as I do work from home but please be considerate of my time and notify me asap if plans change. Keep in mind I have have a full time job, 2 dogs of my own, errands to run, family obligations, outings, etc. outside of being a Rover sitter so providing these windows up front and as soon as possible helps me tremendously to plan.

Sarah was wonderful. She was very quick with her responses and walked us through the process, as this was our first time using Rover.com. She kept us updated with a note and pictures every day. We felt very comfortable and were assured our pups were well taken care of and loved. Will definitely book with Sarah again! Thank you Sarah for taking such good care is Hadley and Nigel!

Information Sarah M. would like to know about your pet

Any breed will work as long as they get along with my dog and are not destructive in the house. The goal is the make their stay as close to their normal routine as possible. With that in mind below are a few things I like to know. Feel free to share anything else as you know your dog(s) best! Things I need to know: 1. Is your dog crate trained? For the safety of your dog(s) and my home I strongly prefer your dog to sleep in a crate at night. My dog does and another dog wandering around disrupts them. I will entertain your dog(s) sleeping in my room but they have to be trained to sleep on their own bed(s). 2. Does your dog eat once, twice, or three times a day? How much do they eat at each meal? Do they eat it quickly or do they graze? Do they eat any people food or are they not allowed? Please also bring plenty food for their entire stay with me. I would prefer extra as well if your dog is playful/active. They will play more here than normal and may need to eat a bit more as well. 3. I'm happy to hear any tidbits about your dog(s) too. Does your dog have any medical needs or quirks I should know about? Are they allowed on furniture at home? Do they love fetch, tug of war, belly ruby, etc? Do they get along with other dog(s) of all sizes? Are they scared of thunder/fireworks, things with wheels (bikes/skateboards/etc.)?

A typical day

I live within walking distance to Brushy Creek Lake Park with miles and miles of trails. I also take lot of walks through neighborhood trails. Ziggy is very, very playful so if your dog is higher energy, she loves to chase and run. She is sure to wear out your pup in my backyard too!
