Dog spelled backwards is God

Pet care experience

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love dogs! I was born into a home with two big dogs (Timber, a Siberian Husky, and Teo, a mixed pup) and I am honoured to have had them by my side growing up. Unfortunately they died when I was around 10, and it took my mum 4 years to overcome grief and get two more dogs: Paco and Cleo (Spinone/Poodle mixes, siblings). Unfortunately my mum broke her back a couple years before we got them and so, since my little brother was only 9 at the time, I've been taking care of the "children", as she called them: I would take them both out for walks together, play with them, take Paco (very energetic boy!) for runs - even next to my bike, feed them, take them to training and groom them (especially summer haircuts!). At the moment they live with my mum and since I am in London I don't see them too often, but every time I go, I take care of them like they were my children. Luckily, my in-laws have a very good girl (old Esther, 13) and we go see her at the weekends, so I still get to spend time with a 4-legged friend. My grandparents also have a Border Collie, Messi, that I help them walk, I groom him and play with him - and he is a very energetic puppy! I get along with all dogs and they usually like me back and recognise me as a figure of authority, so I don't mind about the size. I miss coming home to a waggly tail and a smile to warm my heart! I would be lucky to get to spend time with someone else's furry children and take care of them.

Sarah is great and took fantastic care of my pug, Peanut. I certainly recommend, Peanut is a very big fan of Sarah! Sarah arrived on time, was professional and efficient, and shows lots of love to Peanut.

Sarah is great, always keeps in touch and does her best to be there when we need her - even at short notice! My little sausage, Roland, is a very naughty boy with a lot of personality, but Sarah manages to keep him from getting too out of control. Sarah is very nice and I have complete faith in her.

Sarah has provided dog sitting and dog walking services for my Labradoodle, Martha, extensively over the past one and a half years. It has been a pleasure to employ Sarah in this regard - to the point where I've invited her to dog-sit my human children! Sarah is deeply caring and forms a real connection with Martha. Martha is usually a somewhat grumpy dog, but she responds very well to Sarah and is always pleased to see her. She has capably helped Martha take medication, fed and watered her, and looked after her for weeks when I have been on holiday or away for work. Sarah does not overly treat Martha, and is very aware of how treating can influence both good and bad habits in a dog. Sarah keeps careful eye on Martha (who sometimes cannot walk too far due to arthritis), and always manages to bring her back both happy and well walked without pushing her too far. Sarah has a number of other useful skills - in particular her linguistic ability (she speaks Danish, Italian, Spanish and German in addition to English). I wholeheartedly recommend, and wouldn't want anyone else to look after my dog!

What they don't like, e.g. if they are timid/scared and don't want to be touched, or any special requirement. And what their favourite toy/activity is so we can start with the right paw! No breed preferences as I'm sure all dogs can find a way to steal my heart.

A typical day

I recognise that every dog has their own needs, requirements and preferences, and I respect that. I can offer walks, belly scratches and head pats, runs in the park, feeding, even grooming and training. Whatever the dog needs.
