Pet care experience
I have had pets my entire life and have always been an animal lover! Right now I have a cat that I have had for 5 years, and growing up I had cats, dogs, and various types of reptiles, so I am comfortable around all types of pets. I also fostered kittens for years when I was younger, and I have spent time volunteering at local animal shelters throughout middle school and high school. I have pet sit for friends and family countless times, and used to live with a roommate last year who had a 100+ lb dog who relied on me for their care while my roommate worked 12+ hour shifts as a nurse. I am looking to join Rover as a side gig since I am working from home permanently!

10/10 recommend Sarah! She took great care of our little angel! She was patient and understanding as our cat is quit shy at first and can take a bit to warm up to new people. I also appreciated that Sarah had great communication throughout our trip and kept me in the loop the entire time which is so important- it let me be able to feel at ease while I was away. I will definitely use Sarah again in the future!

I like to stick to a pet’s current routine because I believe that is important. So I will rely on you to let me know what times of day they eat, go on walks, etc as to not disrupt their current schedule. I am happy and willing to accommodate any needs that your pet requires!

Let me know if there are any medications they need to be taking, if they are on a strict food schedule, anything at all. I want to make sure that I maintain their routine to the best of my availability.
A typical day
I will make sure that they get plenty of exercise on our walks!! And I always make sure that they are able to smell all the things they please (as appropriate) as I know that’s basically a dog’s “social media” :) I also always leave time at the end of my walks to make sure that I refresh water and food, and get some scratches and pets in!

Availability
I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule during all hours of the day. I am able to easily plan my day around my work meetings to be able to come care for your pet, depending on what they need.
