All dogs welcome!
Pet care experience
I am passionate about helping dogs live their best lives no matter their age or level of training, and I would love to be part of the care that you take for your dog. I have lived with dogs in my home since I was four years old, and I can't imagine life without dogs. My first dog, a large lab, lived to age 15 and even as a ten-year-old I was active in her care through her old age and many health issues such as significant mobility issues towards the end. My next dog was another lab, with lots of playful energy and chronic allergy issues which required daily care. My current dog is a loving but reactive 5-year-old pit/pointer mutt with high prey drive and energy. Through training a reactive dog was very challenging, I learned how to really listen to a dog’s needs in order to help them feel secure and fulfilled.
Reviews
Sarah is the most compassionate dog lover that I know. She walked and babysat my dog for several years and is one of the sweetest, easy to work with people! If you don't hire Sarah, your dog is missing out on some great cuddles.
About Sarah M.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
When walking dogs, I always allow them time to sniff and explore when safe. In meeting new dogs and getting to know them, I allow them to sniff and approach me first, and learn how they do and do not want to be pet.
Information Sarah M. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about your dog’s temperament and if they have any fears or triggers. Let me know your dog’s dietary restrictions so I can give them the right treats on walks. If you’d like, I can work on heeling with your dog (with positive reinforcement) as part of our walk.
A typical day
I want to make sure your dog not only gets a walk, but also mental stimulus. I can take your dog to a local park or on your normal route. Either way I will allow your dog time to sniff and take in their surroundings, as well as time to play.
Services

Availability
I work part-time, so my weekly availability is: Mondays and Tuesdays, all day Wednesdays 8am-12pm Thursdays after 6pm Saturdays and Sundays 12pm-3pm Parts of my schedule are flexible, though, so we can talk more about your dog’s timing needs!
