Hello! My name is Sarah and I am currently a veterinary student at the University of Minnesota, so animals quite literally are my life!! I have always loved animals, which is one of the many reasons I decided to get into this career path. I grew up owning pets and my parents gave me the responsibility to take care of them. Four years ago is when I started gaining experience as a veterinary technician where I worked as a volunteer veterinary technician at an animal shelter. I also worked in an animal hospital in Tallahassee as a veterinary assistant part time while finishing my bachelor's degree. After I received my bachelor's degree, I decided I wanted more experience in the veterinary field so I worked as a full time veterinary technician for three years before I started veterinary school. I have really devoted a lot of time and effort to get accepted into veterinary school, so taking care of animals is something I am extremely passionate about. I have cared for multiple friend's and family's pets over the years and I always make sure that I can keep them safe and as happy as possible while the people they absolutely love and miss are gone. I have a lot of experience with animal care, so if a pet has a special need such as medications, injections or recovering from a surgical procedure, it is something I would be happy to help with because I do that every single day in my career.
