Responsible, respectful pet lover!

Pet care experience

*FORMER NYC DOG WALKER* *FULLY VACCINATED (COVID-19)* I offer walks, check-ins, in-home and overnight care for cats and dogs (other pets welcome!) to provide you with peace of mind! A life-long animal-lover/pet-owner who is sensitive and respectful to the needs of the animal, I take a calm and loving approach to making sure your pet feel safe and relaxed in my care. I am comfortable with cats and dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I am also comfortable to perform bathing, light grooming, and minor medical oral/topical treatments if needed. **If your pet has a medical condition, please let me know the details of said condition and I will work with you to make sure I will be able to care for your pet as you would** If you have pets who are birds, rodents, reptiles, etc., I am willing to care for them as well, with a little education from you on how to care for them as you do.

Sarah immediately connected with our pets (2 dogs + 2 cats)! We felt comfortable leaving them with her while we were away. The house looked great & animals were happy when we returned! Just what we needed. Will request her again in the future.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful! We needed drop-in visits on four different days, and Sarah eased our anxiety by being organized, respectful, prompt and caring! Each day she left detailed messages and pictures of her time with our Beau. We would definitely love to have Sarah take care of Beau again!

Sarah is not only an excellent pet sitter but also a kind and genuine person who is always respectful. Sarah does everything that is asked of her and goes above and beyond for her clients and their pets. Our cat would have been miserable if it wasn't for Sarah taking the extra time to play with him and making sure he is loved. Sarah kept on top of the hurricane for us and was constantly communicating with us regarding any issues. Thank you Sarah!

Sarah has been extremely responsive. She was helpful & patient helping me to navigate rover.com. She was also patient with the pets as they got to know her.

Safety, trust & environment

I offer peace of mind that your pets, home, and belongings will be respected and safeguarded. Your pets will never be left alone longer than 4-5 hours, and I like to make sure they get the same level of care as you give them, making sure they keep any routine they already have in place. Whether I am housesitting or dropping in, I make sure that you come back to a clean home and happy pets.

Information Sarah L. would like to know about your pet

I am okay with all breeds! However, I would like to know ahead of time if your pet has medical/behavioral issues. This is a safety precaution for myself as well as your pet, but more so, it’s so I know how best to work with your pet. Please let me know of the following: - Any medical issues and medications the animal(s) take -Behaviors such as food aggression, jumping/pulling leash, aggressive with other dogs/animals, sensitivity to movement/sound

A typical day

I like to stick to a routine that owners have in place for their pets, no matter the level of care. Whatever your pet is used to is what we will do, since sometimes having a new person around can cause some hesitation/anxiety with pets. So if you have activities or a schedule your pet is used to, I will do my best to keep that going. I like to get dogs outside to burn off some energy, or get cats to play as much as possible. *This is different with pets with medical conditions, as I always take their health into consideration and monitor very closely any changes in behavior.

I work part-time as PCA and my shifts are never longer than 4 hours. I work morning and afternoon shifts, but I always have a break to check in with pets for bathroom breaks and play time.
