Sarah collaborated with her daughter Ari to provide care for our 18.5 year old cat while my husband and I did a one night getaway. Peanut has rarely been taken care of by anyone other than my husband and me because she does not always respond well to strangers. We needn't have worried. Following our recommendation, Sarah and Ari got out the hair brush and waited. Peanut came right to them and loved getting brushed. Sarah snapped two pictures and sent us a quick update after the first feeding. At each of the remaining feedings, Sarah sent additional updates. Ari tried to entice Peanut to play with her toys, but Peanut was still reluctant so Sarah and Ari continued to stroke her with the brush or just sat with her until she went to sleep. In their updates, Sarah reported each time how much Peanut was eating and sent pictures. What a relief it was. When we got home, we found a long list of comments on the back including some drawings from Ari that touched us deeply. Bottom line - if we go out of town again, we will first ask Sarah and Ari for their help. They were communicative, responsive to recommendations, and respectful of the energy of an older cat. Sarah and Ari make a great team, and I highly recommend them.
