Pet care experience

⭐PLEASE READ!⭐ ☝ I have a Corgi puppy and a kitty - please be sure you’re comfortable boarding with this in mind. 💌 Summer & Winter are my busiest times - please book in advance to ensure your dates are reserved ✔ I board Cats & small animals 🖖 New clients must do a meet & greet (exceptions made - please contact) 🐾 Short & long stays are welcomed ✨ 2 kitties max per client / I charge per extra cat per night 🚩 If you need to reschedule a meet & greet - please contact me 🚩 My drop off times: Drop off times must first align with my work schedule but are usually 7am-8am on days I work or 10am if I am home. PM drop off is possible as long as I am home. 🚩 My pick up times: Since I work two jobs and I sometimes work until 10pm, pick time up times vary depending on my schedule. 🚩 Early drop off (5am-6am) and late pick up (11pm-12am) come with a flat fee of $25 🚩 To avoid getting charged for extended care (in the event you cannot pick up at agreed upon time/day) - please book extra time/days with me. If you're late for a pick up and I am unable to reach you after an hour or waiting, I charge $10 per hour afterwards - communication is very important to me! 🚩 I live in an apartment with wall-to-wall carpet. In the event your kitty has an accident (vomit, pee, poo, etc.), I charge a $25 carpet cleaning fee ⭐ After your pet’s stay, please leave me a star rating and review - Thank you! ⭐ABOUT ME: Hi! My name is Sarah and I live in Springfield with my boyfriend of 10 years, my Corgi puppy Amigo, and my two guinea pigs - Reecey & Hershey. Because of my passion for caring for all animals, I have over 20 years of animal care experience - both personally and professionally. I currently work two part-time jobs 5x a week. Some days I will work from 10am-3pm while others I work 10am-3pm & 5pm-10pm. In the event though where I am not home, my boyfriend cares for all pets that are boarding with me. My most recent animal care position was being a Kennel Attendant at a local Animal hospital where it was my job to assist with caring for cats and dogs, birds, even pocket animals like guinea pigs, to make sure that they were comfortable. Duties I performed were feeding, walking, medication administration, assisting Doctors and Technicians, bathing, record keeping, running lab tests, and providing playtime. I also have experience being cross trained as a Veterinary Technician as well as being an Animal bather too so my professional background with animals is quite extensive. If you were to board your pet with me, your pet will not only have a quiet spacious apartment to themselves, but they will truly get the care they deserve from an experienced Animal Caretaker. They will also have all essentials to enjoy during their stay like a cat tower, cat toys, a litter box (disinfected between each client), and a food & water bowl. I also use Feliway within my home to help calm and relax anxious kitties. This makes it easier for you when dropping off and picking up and helps your kitty enjoy their stay much more! 😺 For special pets boarding with me, each pet will need different care. As long as you provide a cage for your special pet, they will be safe and closely monitored.

How lucky I was to have picked Sarah to take care of our cat, Kitcat, while on our vacation. Cat was so well taken care of, I felt that he might not want to leave her enticing play area!! I highly recommend Sarah to anyone who loves their cat and wants to feel comfortable while away.

Sara was an amazing caretaker to my cat Moojie whom I left with her for 10 days. Moojie is 17 years old and requires daily oral medication for blood pressure. Sara bonded with Moojie immediately and had no trouble administering the meds, which was a huge concern of mine before boarding. Sara sent updates and a pic/video every day, even though there were times I was on international waters and couldn't receive them. She was also very responsive to my questions. Moojie obviously became attached to her and was cuddling with her regularly, which is a testament to how warm and caring Sara is. She also has a very clean and comforting home for kitties with carpeting and plenty of little spaces for them to claim. I will definitely board with Sara again in the future should I need to, I feel 100% comfortable that Moojie would be in good hands!

I had a last minute trip that required me to leave town for a few days and Sarah was a life saver! She kept me updated daily with cute pictures of my boy Reno and I was shocked to see how fast he opened up to her! He's pretty shy after all but he seemed very happy and playful in her home. When I came to pick him up, he didn't want to leave and we both had to catch him! I wish I had known about Sarah before but I'll definitely book with her again in the near future!

⭐️FIRST DAY: Cat: Most cats hide on their first day so they will either hide under my bed, in one of the closets, or under my Christmas tree ( yes, I am an all year-round Christmas tree gal 🎄 but I do have a tree cover for extra curious cats). I will wait for kitties to approach me on their own which will help me understand their personality better. I often play soothing music if they show signs of extreme stress along with using Feliway. Once they're out on their own and are no longer hiding, play time is introduced and the bonding begins.

⭐WHAT TO BRING: Cats: When dropping your kitty off, please bring their food, any medications, treats, cat litter, and puppy pads (for senior cats, kittens, or cats with certain conditions that cause frequent urination). ~ > I will supply food & water bowl, a litter box, and I have toys your kitty can play with but you're welcome to bring your own supplies if you'd like!

A typical day

⭐A TYPICAL DAY: Cats: Most kitty's keep to themselves for the first day or so and hide. Once they come out more often, I play with them several times throughout the day to help with bonding and to combat stress. My pup Amigo is curious about cats but will ignore them usually unless they run. I always make sure to supervise all playtime between kitties and my pup to ensure everyone’s safe! Everyday you will receive photo updates and awesome videos to show how your kitty is enjoying themselves. They will also have over 1200 sq ft of space to explore in my apartment. Plus, my guinea pigs are easy entertainment - but don't worry - they have a cage cover for their protection and they're used to cats stopping by to say hello to them. Check my photo gallery for cute pictures! For multiple kitties part of the same family, the settling in process is about the same! Special Pets: For special pets, the settling in process is the same. If your pet has a cage to be cleaned during their stay, I will clean it as directed and will provide photo updates.

⭐SCHEDULE: Cats: Most will either hang out with me around my desk as I work, roam around the apartment, or look out the balcony window at the birds flying around. While I’m away at work, your pet will have free roam of the house or stay in a crate if advised until I or my boyfriend is home. My puppy Amigo will always be crated when I’m out of the house! Special Pets: For special pets, their cage will be placed in my office where they will be in my company. They will be in the same room as my own two guinea pigs so they will have other companions to chat with!
