Adventures Await!

Pet care experience

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to peruse my profile! Here’s a quick bit about me. I am 31 years old and just moved to the area from Alaska (and WA) to be closer to family. I work in the medical field but have always been passionate about animals; I am a life-long animal lover and advocate. My family and I are passionate about doing what we can for the animals in our community- we are their voice, and we have to do the right thing! I’ve owned animals my entire life, all rescues, and currently have 1 dog named Zeus. We like to go on daily beach walks and are wanting to explore new local trails. We currently walk with our neighbor pup for fun but I figured why not fill my free time with all the pup walks! I did Rover gigs in Alaska while living on the Kenai Peninsula and had regular/return clients who felt comfortable with me and my services. I take pride in my work and promise to spoil your fur baby like I would my own. I enjoy puzzles, cooking, exercising, music, reading, and movies! If I’m not working then I’m usually spending time with my family. My first job was working for a neighborhood vet clinic / boarding & grooming facility where I learned a good foundation in the proper care of different animals. I also did some volunteer work at our local SPCA (ASPCA) while living in Alaska. Over the years in caring for animals, I have encountered many different situations and temperaments and feel confident in my abilities to navigate through them. *SERVICE AREA IS GLENROCK/ROLLING HILLS ONLY. *FRIENDLY REMINDER: MY DOG WILL BE STAYING W/ME DURING OVER-NIGHTS, SO WE WILL NEED TO MAKE SURE ALL PUPS GET ALONG DURING OUR MEET AND GREET* • Dog walking: We will discuss your dog's needs, how long you’ll be away from home, and how many walks are needed. I usually walk 30-60 mins, depending on location and your dogs’ physical capabilities. I scoop/clean poop, feed/water, and will medicate if needed. I am more than happy to discuss any further questions/concerns/requests during our meet and greet.  $18 per drop-in/walk *(discounts offered for multiple pets!) * • Dog/animal sitting: Normally I will stay in your home. If that isn’t something you’re comfortable with, then we can absolutely discuss a different plan. I try to leave as little a foot print there as possible and always clean before I leave/ you arrive. During that time, I make the home looked lived in and take care of your pet like you would. I will be working 5 days a week (8am-5pm ish) so will do morning and evening walks/potty’s but won’t be able to do lunch walks/check-ins. On my days off, we will go on adventures and/or spend as much time as possible outside. I let my dog out as much as he likes so I aim to do the same for the pups I care for. I live a quiet slug life so don’t worry about any drinking/drugs/parties/etc. I will check mail, water plants, and am even open to basic lawn care (mowing/weed wacking/ watering) for an additional fee ($20 per mow/wack/water- price subject to change if larger lawn area).  1 night min- no max.  Up to $30 per night per pet ($32 per night per pet if meds are needed) *(discounts offered for multiple pets!) * • House-sitting (no animals)- we can decide whether live-in or drop-in is best for you! A) Live in, slug life: stay in the home, check mail, water plants, no lawn care. -$22 per night *(plus $20 per mow/wack/water lawn care, price subject to change if larger lawn area.)* B) Drop-in (not living in the home): daily drop-in, check mail, water plants. -$25 per drop-in *(plus $20 per mow/wack/water lawn care, price subject to change if larger lawn area.)*

Sarah is amazing with animals. She truly loves and cares for them. When I go out of town, she is the first person I ask to watch my animals, because I know without a doubt that she will love them like they are her own. She is an advocate for adoption, she stands against abuse and she spreads a message of love for our pets.

Sarah is a good hearted person who loves all animals. She is the type of person who would find a dog on the side of the road, take it with her, put up flyers and post on facebook to find the owner and if she couldn't would then give the dog the best home they ever had. Their new home would include friend dogs and long walks on the beach and of course lots of love!

Sarah is an exceptional human being. Caring for others and those who can't take care of themselves are among her greatest assets. Thus an exceptional animal care person. She also comes from a family of those who have always had pets, and have obtained their pets from rescues. Her aunt has a licensed 501k dog rescue in which she is always trying to get Sarah to come work with her. I know she has pets of her own: all rescued and at varying stages of life. Her animals always come first. Sarah will be an awesome caregiver to any animal put in her care.

Too whom it may concern, Sarah has a huge heart for all animals and her level of care for our animals is second too none. There is 4 dogs & 2 cats in our household & Sarah takes the best care of each one of them in their own special way. I have not met one person in my life that knows, understands & handles animals better than Sarah. I have raced a 200 mile distance race with sled dogs in my youth in Alaska & i know what it takes too manage canines. You absolutely won’t go wrong with Sarah she is as top notch as you will find period. Thanks Jake

I care for your animals as you would- I go off of your instruction. I will spoil but only after your approval. I know all animals are different and have their own needs. I like to respect boundaries already set in place and will do my best to cause as little disruption in your regular routine as possible during your absence.

Information Sarah L. would like to know about your pet

I like to know the do's and don'ts, be alerted to certain temperaments, informed of any food/drug/environmental allergies, any medications they may be on, any specific fears/stimuli, and/or any disabilities.

A typical day

Breakfast and snuggles to start the day... and of course potty. Plan our adventure! Really any scenic walk or trail or adventure. I aim for 2 activities per day- 3 or 4 outside or in the yard play sessions per day. I like to spend as much time as possible outside, even if just sitting in the sun. Road trips if they enjoy them, pup cups if they're allowed them, massages, dancing, etc! Whatever will make your pup happy! Afternoon naps before some leisure outdoor fun/ play. Maybe another walk if they need to burn energy. Dinner time! Snuggles and movies and then more playtime until we potty one last time before bedtime snuggles.
