I am currently on track to earn my Associates in the Arts from Carroll Community College, before transferring to Towson University, about a 45 minute commute from my home. My class schedules usually entail that I'm home fairly early in the afternoon, and though I am also working, it will ideally be no more than three days a week at any given time, leaving plenty of room for me to take on pet care! Even busy as a bee, I'll always make time for them where I can.

Safety, trust & environment
Though my own home may not be an ideal place for another pet to spend nights due to my Shepherd's nervousness, I will gladly offer my time to visit others. I have previously found myself curled up on a couch with a pet I was taking care of overnight, or even falling asleep on the floor with them. So long as their pet parents are happy for me to do so, I will gladly stay wherever is most comfortable for the pet involved, and take food/water/sleeping arrangements where they are best suited. I also have a fair sense of direction, so I'm perfectly content on walks in unfamiliar places, especially when I have friendly doggos with me!
Information Sarah L. would like to know about your pet
Anything you can tell me about your little one's daily routine would be much appreciated! I prefer to go in knowing what kind of energy level to expect, in particular, so that I'm best prepared to reciprocate! Aside from that, though, I'd just like to know any special safety concerns, if there are any areas I should avoid nearby or when on walks, etc. The more I know about your pet's personal wants or needs, the better.
A typical day
It all depends on your pet's personal needs! I'm all for playing fetch, tug of war, games of chase, all the usuals when at home, but I'm also happy to relax and offer cuddles if that's what yours prefers. If the opportunity is there, walks are always on the table too, and I love encouraging dogs to explore as following scents is very mentally and physically stimulating for them– but if there's something your pet particularly likes to do, feel free to let me know!

Pet care experience
I grew up with multiple pets, including two cats in my childhood and a wonderful dog that I helped care for in her seniority, so I've been familiar with animals all my life. Currently, I own and aided in training a high-maintenance, special needs German Shepherd. He's a sweetheart, but he's definitely a commitment! Given his intensely anxious nature, he needs a patient hand to calm him often. He's also epileptic, so I am well practiced in attentiveness, administering medication, following specialized meal plans and the like if needed. I have also done pet and house sitting on many occasions, particularly for family and friends but for a wide variety of pets– from little dogs that didn't even reach my knee, to my own Shepherd, who stands just about as tall as my hip. I've house kept for up to a week, entertaining young dogs and going on daily walks, etc. I am always happy to be introduced to new little ones and have a high pain tolerance when it comes to their claws, so I don't mind when they get a bit rowdy, either! High energy or low, I will gladly make time for any fluffy friends who need a watchful eye.
Reviews

Sarah came and hung out/cared for our four crazy medium/large dogs for an entire day and did a great job. She came for a meet and greet and very intently learned all their idiosyncrasies (and they have some doozies). She was very communicative throughout the day and we would definitely hire again!

Sarah took our booking the week of and still made time to come do a meet and greet with us beforehand! She was very polite and took great care of our pets and home. I’m very pleased and would absolutely book her again.
Sarah is a true animal lover! She has always had a soft spot for them, especially dogs and cats. She has always shared the responsibilities of caring for our pets, but she has gained a lot of experience in the past few years since our German Shepherd was diagnosed with epilepsy. Sarah has been a primary caretaker for him while her parents are working. She administers his medications at specific times, takes him on walks, and helps manage his separation anxiety. Sarah has done pet sitting for several friends and family members. Not only has she watched dogs for full days in our home, she has also stayed at the owners' homes for up to a week at a time to care for pets in their own safe space. She has proven that she is capable of responding quickly to unexpected and challenging situations. She has cared for a dog soon after he had major orthopedic surgery, and she also must be alert and quick to respond to our Shepherd's seizures. She is reliable and trustworthy and cares for the pets of others with the same love, affection and devotion she gives to her own family pet.
