Pet care experience
As a volunteer with BARCS animal shelter, I've had lots of opportunities to hone my dog-handling skills and study dog body language and behavior. I'm constantly looking for opportunities to learn more about dogs and spend more time with them. I'm also a happy dog owner and share my home with an energetic, snuggly 3-year-old mutt. My dog hasn't always been easy, so I'm comfortable with high-energy, high-drive, and excitable pups. I love teaching dogs new tricks and helping them exercise their brains as much as their bodies.
Reviews
Sarah is wonderful! Very responsive and reliable! Thanks for being Bubba’s substitute mom!?
Sarah is GREAT. That is all...
Sarah did an awesome job at keeping me updated during my trip with lots of pictures. She always does a great job handling Rocky, who isn't the easiest guy to handle sometimes!
Sarah is awesome! She took it slow with my crazy pup and now he's going on walks like a champ.

Information Sarah K. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know what commands they know and if you have certain habits or rituals you do before, during, or after your walks. I'd also like to know of any behavioral concerns or triggers (high prey drive, reactive to other dogs, etc.) No breed restrictions or preferences-- a dog is a dog is a dog.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on fun, interesting walks to offer them mental stimulation and tire them out. I'll gladly take your dog to a park, a hiking trail, a waterfront, or wherever else time allows. I can also work on some basic training behaviors like "heel" and "sit," and I love to play "find it."
