I absolutely love dogs and would love to be able to spend my free time helping to care for yours! I helped co-found a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue in Detroit in February 2024 that has rescued over 170+ dogs, so I have experience interacting with all kinds of dogs of various sizes, temperaments, backgrounds, etc. I have a huge network of friends and family that own dogs, plus I know a lot of people in rescue in metro Detroit and around the state, and have worked with many trainers. My family had a dog in the house my entire life growing up, and I've had two of my own rescue dogs. My family dog is a 16-year old Pugapoo named Charlie that we rescued, so I have experience with seniors. I rescued my first dog Tito from Detroit in 2020 and he recently passed, but since I believe in passing on the same love you gave to one dog to another that desperately needs it, I rescued another White German Shepherd named Remy from a high-kill shelter in Georgia. Tito was a fear-avoidant dog with some anxiety, and Remy is a fear-aggressive dog with some anxiety, but I've always been someone that is committed to helping a dog grow their confidence and trust in people with positive reinforcement training. Dogs tend to warm up to me very quickly. I’m comfortable around any type or size dog. I walk my own dog almost 5 miles per day, so I know a lot of the areas around town for good sniffs.
