It's safe to say that I am a huge animal lover. I've owned dogs, cats, fish, and lizards since I can remember. I started dog/cat sitting and fostering after my American Staffordshire Terrier passed away because it felt weird and a little lonely without a pet around. I‘ve fostered for the Washington Humane Society in DC and for Maxfund in Denver. Through these organizations, I've gained experience working with animals with special medical needs, animals that need crate rest, pets that have medication schedules, and furry friends that have dog aggression. I’ve really enjoyed pet sitting because I love being around animals. My dog, Mochi, really enjoys having dog and cat friends around too. Mochi loves to play, but also knows when to give pets their space. When dog sitting, I’m able to take dogs on long walks, let them out in our backyard, take them hikes, or just hang out if your animal is more of a couch potato.
