Pet care experience
I have always loved animals since I was a little girl. My first job was at 14 and it was just pet sitting and walking a dog occasionally, but as I got older I pet sat more for various people. I currently work at an animal hospital and an animal shelter and I like the experience there. With my experience there I learned to administer medications to dogs and even give them insulin. I learned a whole lot about the behaviors of dogs and why they act the way that they do. I also host doggy daycare over at my job and it is a lot of fun, so I do have experience with that too! I am mostly available in the evenings and I am able to stay overnight. I have a passion for animals, and I have always been fond of them.

I contacted Sarah on very short notice because of an urgent situation. She immediately accepted and came the next day to help out. She follows my list of instructions very carefully and consistently sends pictures and updates in the morning and evening. Because of the nature of my absence, it was unclear exactly when I could come home. She extended without question each time I asked. I have seen her interact with my dogs and it is clear they love her. It is know when they are not comfortable with someone, and this is never the case with Sarah. She is responsible, accommodating and I am always so relieved when she is taking care of them. Obviously, I highly recommend her to look after anyone's furry babies.
SJ is a very hard worker and my senior dog Abbey really loved here. Because Abbey is thirteen, I would have preferred to have someone who could stay with her longer during the day/night, with shorter periods between potty breaks. For younger animals, the 12-hours between trips outside may be ok. SJ works long days and shares transportation with her sibling, so getting “home” quickly is not always an option. I would recommend SJ for younger animals that are ok staying inside alone for 12 hour periods.
SJ was awesome while dogsitting for almost a week. She kept us updated throughout the week, with photos. Our two dogs absolutely loved her and it allowed us to enjoy ourselves during our trip without worry for our fur babies. We will definitely use her for any dogsitting needs in the future!
Sarah Jade has stayed with our 4 dogs in our house on two occasions when we went out of town. She was completely reliable and trustworthy. Most importantly, all our dogs love her and are excited to see her when she arrives. We consider her our only choice to take care of our pets. We highly recommend Sarah Jade!
