I have been caring for pets of all kinds since I was a kid. Whether it was our own dog, cat, parakeet, fish, turtle, or rabbit - count me in! Family friends relied on me to care for their dogs and cats during vacations or out of town visits. I love cuddling with my fur baby, Mali, and she has become like my coworker. During breaks I check on our 10 backyard chickens, who are more than excited to see me approach. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. My backyard is entirely fenced (approximately 4/10 acre) and has plenty of room for running and fetching. The chickens have a very large fenced run (fence is 6' high and covered with netting) and very secure coop. I have been a puppy/dog sitter for my friend's Viszla for the past 1.5 years - most times involving an overnight stay in my home. I also watch friends' cats as needed (anywhere from 1 to 4 cats) and provide much needed scritches, playtime, brushing and cuddles along with litter box duty, food & water refills, treats and medications (so far I have only administered pills). I walk often at Crown Hill Park (approx 1 block from my home) and look forward to taking daily walks with your dog there or your preferred park!
