Pet care experience
Enjoy all Pagosa has to offer and know that your pets are in good hands! I have had animals as part of our household my whole life. We live close to hiking and a paved walking path making it easy to burn some energy off. Most pets are creatures of habit so I would like to keep them on their schedule as much as possible. I recommend bringing their bed, a favorite toy, or an item with your scent on it, especially if they get nervous when you leave them. Happy to spoil yours as my own!

Sarah was so great! Our pup is a shy little one and takes a little bit to warm up but Sarah made it so easy on her to settle in for her afternoon there. Sarah was also super flexible and worked with our schedule which we appreciated so much. We highly recommend her if you ever need anyone to help with your pup!
Sarah is a dream dog sitter. She is communicative, kind, active and lives near several good spots to walk the dogs. This is the FIRST time we have taken our annual family ski trip that I have NOT been worrying about the DOGS!! Thank you Sarah! (and your son too!)

Please let me know any special needs. Do they like to bolt? Chase other animals (lots of deer, turkey & raccoons in the area)? Need medications? Get into trash or food? Have separation anxiety? Like to chew the furniture? The more I know about them, the better I can accommodate their needs.

HOUSE BROKEN pets only please! (If you have an untrained puppy let me know before hand). ALSO, if possible, it is helpful to arrive a few minutes early to walk them a minute and let them use the bathroom before bringing them in (Large grassy area across the street). Because I have many dogs coming through, new dogs often feel the need to come in and mark their territory inside the house or may just pee because they are nervous. Walking them a few minutes before will minimize the risk of them wanting to pee inside right away. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs! Diet? medication? Likes to chew things? I prefer breeds that get along with other dogs, will tolerate kids and the cat. Just let me know ahead of time and I will do my best to accommodate your pets needs.
A typical day
We are within walking distance of the the river front, hiking trails and an open field so walking, fetch and river play are all easily accessible.

We all have busy schedules so I appreciate if you respect the time frame specified for pick up and drop off and if running late or early, I am usually flexible but please update me! I can better care for your pet if I know more about them, how they behave on a leash and around other people/animals. Just let me know your pets needs and daily routine!
