Pet care experience
A bit about me: I currently have two dogs (a mastiff-pit mix and a super mutt), a cat, a bearded dragon, and a bunch of fish. I owed my own pet sitting and dog behavior modification business in the suburbs of Chicago for several years. Now that I'm back home in Ohio, I'm looking to continue my ultimate daily goal of petting as many dogs and cats as possible. I have extensive experience with large breed dogs and aggressive/behaviorally challenged dogs; I take my time to gain their trust and respect which have proven to be valuable for both the pet owner and me. This is a rewarding line of work and I can't wait to meet your fur babies!
Reviews
Sarah is wonderful! Our senior dog and finicky cats were lovingly cared for and we appreciated her thorough communication and sheer kindness. Without hesitation we’d recommend Sarah to anyone!
Sarah was great! Ike was happy and well when we returned home. The house was in exactly the same condition we left it in. Also, Sarah communicated with me through out her stay.
I am very satisfied with Sarah and know my dogs are getting good care. Already making future travel plans with Sarah pet sitting! I would strongly recommend her!

I do not care for pets in my home since I have so many of my own. I feel stability and safety is of utmost importance for all pets at all times. Thank you for understanding.
Information Sarah H. would like to know about your pet
I will always ask if the dog is dog/human/child/small animal aggressive or reactive. I have a ton of experience with reactive dogs; I wholeheartedly believe that it's OK for a dog to be reactive to certain things and that it's my responsibility to know those things and behave accordingly. If a dog has any medical issues or joint issues, it is important that I know that before any walks. Also, I will always want to know what your dog loves most! Is it hot dogs? A tennis ball? A frisbee? A morsel of cheese? It's important for safety and attention (and just fun to reward good behavior with something exciting!).
A typical day
Depending on the neighborhood in which the pupper lives, I do have some local parks that I love for dog walking! I am always mindful of other dogs in the area and never try to "let the dogs meet" when I don't know the other animals. It's just not safe and can (and often does) result in a stressful situation for the humans and dogs. If your dog loves to play fetch, I have a 30' lead that I can bring to a park so that I always have control of how far that fur baby can run. I'm always open to suggestions from pet owners as well since YOU know your dog best!
