Pet care experience
From age 9 to 23, I was blessed with taking care of my beloved golden retriever, Lucky, from puppy training through senior care. I gained experience with crate training, house training, countless walks, and managing various health conditions. Lucky tore his cranial cruciate ligament at the age of 8, and, instead of surgery, we had great success with physical therapy (very cute, with many carrots and treats involved!). In his final year, Lucky had cancer, prompting me to take him to various specialists, including a veterinary acupuncturist/herbalist. I diligently managed his medications, monitored his food/water intake, and ended up cooking organic meals for him. I will treat your beloved pet with the same love and care as I gave to Lucky.

Sarah was so thorough and earnest in her clear desire to want to make my old dog have the most comfortable experience with me gone. She put Sage’s anxious self at ease almost immediately and was very attentive to her body language and how to respond. She checked in with me frequently and gave me any extra details I may need to know upon my return. Diligent, caring, and just a great overall experience!
Sarah did a wonderful job caring for our dog Zorro, who is a 3-year-old, 80-pound, muscular and primarily Chow/Husky mix. Zorro is very loving but is currently being trained due him him being a major "puller" when walking him that has literally injured us when he spotted a deer or cat. Despite his strength, Sarah was able to manage walking him and she is a very loving and trustworthy caregiver. I highly recommend her for walking or caring for your pets!
My dog Pepper gets along great with Sarah. Being friends with Sarah the last ten years I knew she grew up with a Labrador but was taken back at how well she handled Pepper who is half pit bull and gets quite excitable. Sarah has watched Pepper a few times for me and always does an excellent job. I believe Sarah's genuinely friendly and patient personality quickly wins over dog's respect and friendship.

When I walk dogs, I always take water, a collapsible bowl, treats, and emergency contact info. When I dog sit, I regularly play with the dog, especially with any favorite toys, to make sure they feel as comfortable as possible while you're away.
