Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs, hamsters, turtles, and cats since I was in my preteen years. As an adult I am known as the animal person - in college at one point I had my own + 2 foster hedgehogs and a foster puppy. I now own one dog, and one hedgehog and have fostered and homed both cats and dogs (12+ in the last few years alone) as a hobby. I have experience training my own dog with many different methods - taught to me by one of the animal behaviorists who rehabbed Michael Vick’s bait dogs.
Reviews
Sarah is amazing with our two dogs. Always on time and always keeps us updated.
Sarah has provided hour long visits for my dogs on several occasions. She is great with my high-energy/reactive huskies! I always feel great knowing that she is watching them when I am not able to. Would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a reliable dog walker/sitter!
Sarah is an ambitious and intentional animal lover who has successfully fostered many animals in the past. She is particularly good with dogs and treats dogs under her care as her very own. The needs of animals in her care, I can personally attest to, are her number one priority. She is knowledgeable about training and has had great success in training multiple dogs. I can with complete honesty say that I would rather have her watch an animal than anybody else.
Sarah took wonderful care of my dogs. She loves dogs and treated them like her own. We definitely plan to use her services in the future.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and live a 10 minute walk to a large grassy park (not a dog park). I love using that quiet park space for long leash training / play with my dog (I tend to not prefer dog parks for safety & behavioral concerns). My hedgehog is kept elevated and in her own enclosed room. I keep my home dog / pet safe at all times and do not purchase high toxin foods or burn / use oils or incense due to potential health risks. I see my pets as family and would treat yours just the same.

Information Sarah H. would like to know about your pet
Information helpful for me: what is the best and worst I can expect from your pup? Does your dog have any unique quirks I should be aware of? Are they okay with other dogs? Do any sounds or sights trigger certain behaviors in them? Do they have fear, aggression or anxiety challenges? Any training you are working on at home I can help reinforce? What does your dog love to do? Favorite toys or treats?
A typical day
I love providing ways for dogs to get active both mentally and physically. A happy dog is one that gets to utilize their senses to their fullest ability - snuffle mats and fun games will challenge their senses and help them build trust with me. I love training dogs for improving behavior and also for challenging their mind. Sniffy walks and taking them to their favorite spots are great ways we can optimize our time together.
