I've been around animals since I was a kid: dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, etc. I have a cat (Callie) and recently adopted a 2 year old pup (Carver) from the Iowa City Animal Shelter. I'm happy to love on pups of all kinds while their owners are away. Before moving to Iowa City, I lived and worked on a farm to support myself while in school. I took care of a dozen horses, a lovable dog named Ian, and the resident barn cat. Since moving back to the Midwest, I occasionally pet-sit and dog walk for friends and neighbors while working on my developing career as a classical musician. I have a fairly flexible schedule, so I can check-in on your dog when you need it. I also have a good understanding of basic training; it's not uncommon for a family to come back from vacation and discover that their family dog has a few new tricks.
