Prior to my first walk with your dog, I would like to meet you in person to discuss your fur baby's needs and temperament. Some things to keep in mind when scheduling your walk include... Location. What route would you like us to take? Are there neighborhood rules/guidelines that I will need to follow? Walk style. Does your dog like to take a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or are they in need of more intense enrichment and exercise? Leash manners. Will your dog walk on a loose leash with a standard flat collar, or do they require the use of a prong collar, gentle leader, harness, etc? Will they need treats or a favorite toy during the walk to help cope with distractions (such as other dogs/people in the neighborhood)? Obedience skills. Does your dog respond to typical obedience commands (i.e. sit, down, wait, heel, come)? Would you like me to reinforce obedience skills through positive reinforcement? I love providing all dogs with enrichment, whether it be mental or physical. Many dogs require more than just physical activity in order to live happy lives. I love using treat puzzles or playing brain games along with a leashed walk or a round of fetch (if space allows). A happy pup is a tired pup.
