dog obsessed - in need of park pal!

Pet care experience

I am new to the area, currently part time employed. Ideally, I would love to adopt a dog of my own. Realistically, I'd like to take another year to settle in to my new city before taking on the responsibility of a full time pet parent. I've been involved in an animal out reach program. I've grown up volunteering at multiple shelters, pet adoptions and farms. In my family home, we've fostered dogs and various animals for most of my life. Ive loved and cared for all kinds of critters from chickens and goats to paraplegic chihuahuas and abused pit bull terriers. Since my early teens, I have always dog sat for my neighbors, family and friends. I am currently in school pursuing my degree in veterinary technology. I’ve been working through Rover, Wag and as a personal dog walker for the last two years. I am confident in my hands on personal experience with different animal personalities and behaviors.

I am so happy I have found Sarah! My dog Suki is very high maintinance, she needs daily medication and frequent potty breaks. Sarah was amazing with Suki, I trust her in my home as I would my own family. She communicated clearly, she seemed comfortable medicating her, she kept me updated with how Suki was doing on walks and didn’t seem bothered at all by my many specific requests as to how Suki needs things done. I will absolutely request her services again and I recommend Sarah to anyone looking for someone to genuinely take care of their pupper. Thank you again!!

Sarah is Wonderful! She watched my 10y/o collie Zumie and took great care of her. I felt very comfortable having Sarah stay in my home and she left it just as she found it. It's so hard to leave your fur child and house in someone else's hands but I can confidently say Sarah is AWESOME and I'm so glad to have found a reliable and responsible dog/house sitter for my sweet Zumie.

Information Sarah H. would like to know about your pet

For boarding - I think its important to know the dogs bathroom habits, house broken, pad trained, kennel trained, ect.. If they are comfortable with car rides. Also the dogs temperament towards other dogs. Details such as wether your dog uses a lead or leesh. If they tend to bark or bay and if so what you typically find works best to calm them.

A typical day

I like to explore parks, trails and hikes.
