Pet care experience
For over 11 years I have been working with dogs. For 6 years I was the owner of Tails & Trail dog walking & boarding in the GTA, prior to that I volunteered with the ARC, VEC and The Toronto Human Society. Now residing on a magical 66 acre's of land in the Kawartha Lakes we have decided, with some nudging form our past clients, to reopen under the SEW Hewy Country Estate brand.

So great with the dogs. Great property. Very responsive and flexible. Felt so happy knowing my dogs were taken such good care of while we were away. Will be happy to take my pups to Sarah again!!
This was our first time using this App. I was very nervous leaving our dog with strangers. But Sarah and Mike were very friendly and helped my ease. She communicates very quickly which is so appreciated! It’s great they have so much land for Lyla to explore. Would definitely recommend and will definitely book with them again.

My boarding style is a home environment. I am able to section areas of the home off to accommodate different dogs needs and feeding time. If you crate at night we will accommodate. I have an eight acer fenced area, plus 47 acres of forest, with walking trails. If your dog is not good off leash, on leash walks can be accommodated, along with crating. I reside with two senior dogs and a cat, three days a week my grandson stays with us, so there is lots of play and interaction. They are all accustom to an area of animals and having other dogs within the home, for they have grown up with me boarding.

It is important to know if your dog has good recall, is cat and child tolerant. If a crate is required or medication or special diet. It is also important to know if your dog has any fear aggression or sensitive touch areas on their body, such as paws.
A typical day
We are very lucky to live on 66 acres, with 47 acer of forest with trials. Plus we are next to the Victoria Rail Trail and the Windy Ridge Conservation Area, all great for walking. There is also the Omemee beach, which as an area for dogs to swim. For the more social dog there are a few dog parks in Lindsay and Peterborough we like to visit.

I am currently working from home, with lots of time to provide a one hour walk and two 20 minute outs. Even if I have to go into work I control the hours.
