Pet care experience
Hello there! Currently, I own cats and a lizard that is a leopard gecko. One of my cats has special needs and is a cancer survivor. I have had various pets since my childhood and absolutely love animals. I have lived with and cared for dogs, cats, fish, turtles, and reptiles. I grew up with german shepherd and great dane dogs, always having one or two cats around, and a pond full of fish and turtles with experience caring for them. I have lived my whole life with animals around and cannot wait to check in on your little furry friend!

Sarah, by far, has been the best dog sitter that I have encountered. She has a true passion and a natural connection to them. Her confidence in her abilities were understood by my pooches and they did not attempt to drag her all over the sidewalk and street when she went to walk them. They respected her and remembered and maintained their training, and that's not what happened with other sitters before Sarah. She takes amazing candid pet photos too. I was so impressed that I got a few of them framed. She would be a wonderful asset to the Rover team.
Sarah has a sweet, compassionate love of both cats and dogs. She will treat your pets like her own and will be missed by them when you return. I call her the pet whisperer 🤗
Sarah has always loved watching my dog and my cat and they loved when she watched them! Equal attention given, lots of cuddles and play time, and always kept them on the routine I have raised them on. Highly recommend Sarah!

During my in-home visits I will make sure to check for and clean up any pet messes given the necessary clean up supplies are available. I will refill food and water supplies for the pets as requested. I can let dogs out of crates to use the restroom if a yard is available. I will also spend time playing with the pet if toys are available. I can administer oral medication to your pet if they do not have a history of aggression or biting. I also have experience with various pet gadgets such as litter robots, food dispensers, and water fountains so I can make sure they are running appropriately during the visit.

It is important for me to know how the dog behaves on walks and how the dog behaves towards other dogs, animals, and people prior to walking the dog. Please also let me know preferred or safe areas in your neighborhood to walk the dog. Their schedule and routine, are they crate trained and potty trained. General likes and dislikes and activities. Sleeping preferences. Favorite treats and food. General needs.
A typical day
If the visit is a dog walking visit, I can walk your dog locally around your neighborhood. I will ensure the dog tries to go to the bathroom during the walk and play a bit with the dog as well.

Availability
I am currently working full-time remotely from home. I like to give myself breaks in the day, and that is where your furry friend comes in! I can stop by to check in on your cat, dog, etc during the weekdays between 9am and 4pm. Fridays and Mondays work best for me. I can service the Woodbury, south Oakdale, east Maplewood, north Cottage Grove, and west Lake Elmo areas.
