Independently Insured, WFH Mom!

Pet care experience

I have owned dogs since early childhood, with experience ranging from miniature dachshunds to Great Danes! I love dogs of all sizes and breeds. I live in a side-by-side duplex in a fantastic neighborhood for walks and have a fully fenced in backyard. As a work-from-home mom I have full availability to keep up with frequent potty breaks for the little pups as well. What I provide when dog sitting/boarding in my home: -a safe, clean and comfortable "home away from home" -independent boarding insurance through Pet Care Insurance -lots of love and belly scratches -frequent trips outdoors -mental stimulation and playtime -a large, fully fenced in backyard -supervised outdoor time -dog treats, including frozen Kongs in all sizes (please let me know if your dog(s) have any dietary restrictions) -dog toys, including lick mats for separation anxiety -neighborhood walks (if your dog enjoys) -dog bowls and filtered water -photos and updates during your dog's stay What I ask that you provide when dropping off your dog: -dog food for the duration of your dog's stay -leash -harness (if applicable) -crate and bedding (if applicable) -a favorite blanket or toy for comfort -any medications or supplements -updated Rover care instructions, including emergency vet info. I have an 11 year old son who is fantastic with dogs and has been raised around dogs of all sizes, including giant breeds. He's always ready for some belly scratching and dog snuggling. I also have one siamese cat who is very easy-going and comfortable with dogs. If you're using Rover for the first time please feel free to ask me about my discount code before booking! -Please note that I charge the "puppy rate" for senior dogs 11+ -There is a $10 fee for pickup times after 7pm. Your dog will get lots of one-on-one attention at my house that they wouldn't receive at a kennel. Because I work from home I am almost always available to give your dog the comfort, love and attention they deserve. My yard is fully fenced in and all outdoor time is supervised. Because my fence is only 3 feet tall in some areas I am more than willing to keep your dog on a lead while outdoors if necessary. When sitting multiple dogs from different households, I provide separate areas for meal time to keep stress at a minimum. If your dog requires solo-sitting (doesn't get along well with other dogs) let me know in advance and I will do my best to work with you and book your dog alone.

Sarah did an excellent job taking care of our dog, Olive, while we were traveling for two weeks. Olive needs a lot of attention and walks to keep her happy, and all her needs were met! Sarah provided us with updates throughout our trip to ease our minds. We will definitely request Sarah again for any future dog sitting needs!

From our initial meeting, it was obvious that Sarah is kind and knows a lot about dogs. I appreciated her taking the time to make sure my dog was comfortable at her house -- it made dropping her off the next day so much easier. My dog was excited to see me when I picked her up after our trip, but I could tell she had a good time because even as I packed up, she was going over to see Sarah. We highly recommend Sarah.

We’ve had Sarah watch our dog Olive twice now, and she’s always done an amazing job with her. She always makes sure she has lots of playtime and care. We will be continuing to contact her to watch Olive in the future whenever we may need a sitter. :)

If your dog requires crating when left alone I ask that you bring their crate at the time of drop-off. If your dog experiences separation anxiety please bring something to ease the transition and make him/her more comfortable while staying in my home such as a favorite toy or bedding. Any medications or behavioral problems should be noted prior to confirming your dog's stay.
