Pet care experience
Hi! Please read my profile carefully before sending a request! My schedule is always changing and I may not be able to take on higher-maintenance/energy puppers. Do you have any pets besides dogs or cats? I'm your girl! I have experience with dogs & cats, rodents of every type, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish (both saltwater and freshwater). Tarantulas are a hard pass for me, though, sorry! ;) I have been taking care of animals since I was young. My house was like a zoo, as I've always had many different kinds of animals at any given time. I was also employed in college taking care of animals ranging from birds to turtles to even millipedes, so I have lots of experience with all kinds of animals. I am also a dedicated plant mom, so your plants are safe with me! I am comfortable and have experience administering medications to most pets (up to and including giving daily injections to a decently large ball python. It's about as difficult as it sounds). I will do my best to work with you and your animals' needs. In your home: you give me the rules and I will do my best to keep your babies safe and thriving while you are away! I prefer animals to people, so your furry loved ones will be doted on and spoiled rotten!

This is the third time I've booked with Sarah, and it's always been great! I was slightly worried about being gone over the holiday with the bad weather, but I got lots of updates and photos that Daphne was doing fine so I didn't need to stress. Highly recommend Sarah for any of your pet sitting needs!

I can't say enough good tings about Sarah. My pet had compromised health issues so leaving him was was very difficult for me. There ended up being a situation that could not be helped and Sarah went above and beyond to get my pet to the emergency room and get the necessary care, It was a very sad situation for me being out of town but I know that Sarah acted quickly and did everything in her power. My pet sweet boy Oliver was in the best possible hands. I would not hesitate to use Sarah again or to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and compassionate caregiver for their pet.

A typical day
We're going to play, we're going to go on walks, we're going to get treats (within reason, of course!). Ultimately, I let the pup decide. If we need a high-energy run around the neighborhood and lots of playtime, you got it! If I'm sitting one of my senior pals, I am more than happy to take a slow stroll, sniffing everything in sight, and taking our sweet time. I have pretty crappy ankles, so I am down with the old lady vibes ;) As for my kitty pals, I'll give as much attention as they ask for. If we cuddle up on the couch and watch Netflix, great! If they need to hide in a closet and just come out for meals, that's great, too! I'll be a distant, watchful eye and respect their space. I have 3 cats of my own, so I am pretty attuned to the cat language.

Availability
I work full-time and go to school, so weekends are best for me, except for my kitty friends. I am sometimes unavailable for stretches up to 12 hours on some weekdays. My fiancé may complete house-sitting requests with me for safety and comfort purposes, unless you are a long-time friend. You will meet him at the meet & greet :)
