I've got a lot of love for dogs, a flexible schedule as a graduate student, and experience in caring for dogs and cats from young to old. I'd like to put those traits to good use with your dog, and I know I'll have a great time doing it! Growing up my family had two golden retrievers, Luke and Lady, that were part of the family. I trained them all sorts of tricks and how to walk on a leash, and my best childhood memories are of walking them to the park. Luke was huge (120lbs!) and energetic as a puppy, and although he always weighed more than I did, I was able to keep him under control for walks. When they had 3 litters of puppies, I took care of the cute little guys and tried to get them started on leash training as well. We lost Luke and Lady this summer after 15 loyal years, and I cared for them in their last few months. It has been a difficult loss, especially as my current living situation does not allow me to adopt a dog. So while I do have two cats that I get to spoil, I'm missing some quality pup time. I'd love the opportunity to care for your dog as I know I will one day care for my own =)
