Pet care experience
My life has always focused around animals. I grew up with a Lhasa apso named Buffy, and in college I got my first guinea pig. I majored in biology and worked as a fisheries biologist in Florida for a decade. My fur babies now are 2 rescued rabbits and a senior tripod chihuahua, and I am involved in a house rabbit rescue organization. I also have a 60 gallon saltwater and 20 gallon freshwater aquariums. I have had a wealth of exposure to a variety of dogs - I worked for a pet waste removal company while attending grad school. I have over 20 years of experience caring for small mammal such as rabbits and guinea pigs. I can pet sit guinea pigs, hamsters, and other select species of small pets in my home - please inquire.

I'm Sarah's father. Since her early childhood years she has always loved animals of all kinds. Initially it was dogs and horses. As she grew older it was fish (she is a marine biologist) and rabbits. Sarah has been a volunteer for rabbit rescue organizations for several years now. She has 2 house rabbits and 2 guinea pigs of her own that she loves and cares for. She recently enjoyed meeting a lot of dogs when employed by Pet Scoops. I highly recommend my daughter for employment by Rover.
Sarah is a compassionate person who loves animals. She is kind and patient with each animal in her care and any dog would be lucky to be walked by her.

I like to know the general temperament of a dog before caring for him or her. Is the dog nervous around new people? Is there anything special I need to do to make the dog feel more comfortable? It is important to me to make sure your dog is happy and comfortable!
A typical day
I will definitely take suggestions on your dog's favorite places to walk as well as favorite activities! I am an active person and absolutely love interacting with dogs, even though I don't have any dogs of my own. I do take care of my sister's senior shih tzu quite a bit, so I pretty much consider her as one of my furry kids too!

Availability
I work full time primarily from home. I do occasionally have to go into the office. I am available for drop-in visits on weekends (and I have every other Friday off as well).
