Personal-2-YOU Dog and Cat Care
Pet care experience
It's tough to find good reliable pet care for your precious fur babies. When I was in Vancouver 15 years ago with my crazy Bubba I had a tough time too! This is why I am committed to working with you and your pets to create a safe space where they are empowered in confidence instead of cowering in fear. My intention is always for you to have peace of mind when you can't be with them. I have been a full-time pet care provider since January 2018. What started out as a hobby in 2007 to care for my Lab Samoyed X, Bubba, is now a way of life. Studying animal behaviour, and relating it to your pets and the few assistance dogs I've worked with is the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. It's been tough to rebuild my vocation in Abbotsford and I'm very inspired by those I've worked with so far. I look forward to working with any Abbotsford cat, dog and pawrent who appreciates building deeper relationships with their pets. PS> If my rates seem too much for you right now please reach out and let me know. I want to work with you more than I want to make money. But I do rely on this as my sole source of income so I will negotiate within reason. I am open to ideas such as combining bookings with neighbours to bring the cost down… that sort of thing. Please please message me to ask what I’m willing to accept before scrolling to the less expensive option.
Reviews
Sarah was chosen as our sitter for our first time with Rover for our three dogs - and two have some anxiety and reactivity- and she now will be our first choice- always. Sarah is a skilled, compassionate and diligent guardian and all three dogs fell in love with her. I cna imagine that it wasnlt easy but she is so calm, attuned and skilled with canine communication. She shared daily videos and kept us informed throughout our time away. When we returned, the dogs were all healthy and happy- and this is unusual- as they are usually quite anxious. I can tell that she spent a lot of time interacting with the dogs, keeping them stimulated (1 aussie, 1 border collie and 1 border collie-newfie cross). We now can travel with peace of mind because of Sarah - The BEST!
Sarah is our go to whenever we go on vacation. She is amazing with our 3 dogs and a pleasure to deal with. 10/10 - we highly recommend
Patient. Calm. Positive. Proactive. She is so good with my submissive/anxious dog: it only took a couple walks and he was happy to see her show up. He's a mummy's boy and it's hard for both him to stretch that connection but it's a work in progress and I know he's in safe hands with Sarah. She articulates his successes upon their return from the walk, his interactions, and any queries she may have had along the way. This seems to be a winning combination.
Always accommodating and friendly, we've had three walks so far and I'd be happy to keep this going for as long as possible. Sarah is very good with my submissive/anxious dog.

Your dog🐶 and cat🐯 deserve special attention to their specific personality and health. Our pets are individuals. We can sometimes predict the behaviour of certain breeds, but they always have their own personality based on their experiences with their environment. I offer loose-leash walks and training support services. I'm not certified as a trainer or behaviour consultant but I do understand quite a bit from studying and hands-on practice and experience working as an Assistant Trainer in group Puppy and Teen Dog classes as well as Interning as an Assistance Dog Trainer I am currently working on a Practitioner Certification for Tellington TTouch which combines gently effective bodywork with loose leash handling techniques, equipment and ground work (a multi-sensory experience). It is a proven method to bring dogs into balance physically through movement and activating the cells in their nervous system. Dogs who lack confidence and behave aggressively out of fear benefit greatly from these exercises.

You need someone you can trust like family and who will care for your beloved pet as if you were still there. You want to get away for a few nights or a couple of weeks without having to worry about your precious fur babies. Or maybe your schedule just became overwhelmingly busy with kids, work and family stuff that your dog is not getting the stimulation and exercise they need in order to feel satiated. Let’s set up a Meet ‘n Greet to find out if I am the right fit for your family’s needs. I will come to you and meet you and your pets, no charge, at a time that is convenient for you. While I stay with your pet I will do whatever is best for them. If they need me to stay, I will stay. If they need me to leave for a few hours during the day I will leave. I will always stay overnight when you book a House Sit. When you book a Walk I always schedule an extra 10 mins in front and 5 minutes at the end of a booking for preparation and drop off. I’m actually there 45 minutes for a 30-minute walk and one hour and 15 minutes for a one-hour walk.
