Pet care experience
Hello! I am a proud mom of my own cat and I have dog sat and been around animals all my life :) I’ve always been the friend that will cat or dog sit because it honestly makes my day even better. I absolutely love hiking and having animal friends to join me are always appreciated, but I will be even as excited to stay inside to play and cuddle with a kitty too 🐱 I am happy to tailor walks to each family, whether that be exploring trails (on or off leash) or a stroll in the neighbourhood. I have experience with senior and foster dogs, as well as bigger dogs that tend to pull more. As well as walking, I am well versed in sitting during the day or over night and really strive to make your pet as comfortable as possible! Especially if that includes playing with them using their favourite toys and or even a few snuggle sessions.

I always strive to be respectful of peoples homes and want to leave them as if I wasn’t there. I am comfortable with animals that are crate trained or not. I would definitely be willing to meet your pet beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit for both of us.

A typical day
I do believe a healthy dog is an active dog and I really strive to be attentive and loving to individual needs. Whether we can play tug of war, throw a ball or chase them around a yard, I’ll be up for it. I do absolutely love knowing some routes you take your dog, so that it’s familiar to them and they have the best time possible! I do have an app that shows me all the nearby trails that I like to use when planning a walk, so that I can take dogs away from cars and busy streets when possible.

Availability
I’m currently getting my BSc with a major in Geoscience at VIU, so I’m looking for something to do around classes and it’ll be a great excuse to get me outside and out of a classroom! That being said I am always up for a last minute walk if it works with my schedule. I do work remotely as a child care administrator, so I am very flexible with the hours I am working throughout the week and will be able to be with a pet while I work.
