Passionate about all pets, from tails to scales.

Pet care experience

I have a first class honours bachelors degree in Animal science. I have also just completed my Level 2 in Dog Grooming, at Merit and I'm pending my Level 3 Dog Grooming results. Through these courses I have learnt alot about canine behaviour and positive training techniques. I also have a Pet First Aid certificate, Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Diploma and Canine Communication Diploma. So, your pets will be in safe hands. Additionally, I have experience working as an Animal Assistant previously at Prickly Ball Farm and currently run my own dog walking/grooming and pet sitting business. Dogs - When I'm taking your canines out for a walk, they are likely to be out for two hours (to include travel time), however, this will only be charged at the hourly walking rate. If dogs don't like traveling in the car then local walks can be arranged. I'll send updates with photos regardless of where we walk. Other pets - I can provide home visits for a range of animals including but not limited to: dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits and lizards. I'm known as the crazy cat lady by those close to me so I have a very soft spot for all felines. Although, I can't do home baording as I don't currently have a license I can offer pet/house sitting which includes overnight stays at your house. My 12 year old daughter will come along to these so dogs must like older children. A meet and greet trial will be necessary prior to confirmation. This will be free of charge. This is to ensure your pet will be happy and content and we are a good match. Once they've passed the initial assesment, your pooch will be in very safe hands and be treated like one of the family. My prices are extremely competitive as I'd also like to appeal to lower income families. My prices do not reflect the level of care your pet will receive.

I have just used Sarah for the first time as my neighbour was away who usually looks after my 3 cats. I was stressed as they are very important in our lives but I had no need to worry because as soon as I met Sarah I could see her rapor with my cats was amazing and she oviously adores them. She sent daily beautiful photos of my cats with video and information. I also had to get Sarah to clean my snake ? without previously booking this and she had no problem with doing this perfectly. I also had to ask her to do an extra visit which she also did straight away. Sarah is wonderful, reliable and completely trustworthy. My cats were happy well-fed and all bowels and area clean when I got home. Sarah also did spot cleans as one of my cats sprays around house. Thankyou so much Sarah , we will definitely use you again. Louise and Daniel. Xxxx

Information Sarah D. would like to know about your pet

I will require information of any medical problems your dog has prior to walking. This is to ensure the walk is appropriate for your dog and I am educated on their condition should I need to provide care to them whilst out. I also need to know if your dog suffers from any form of anxiety/aggressive tenancies; seperation anxiety, dog aggression, human aggression, toy guarding, food aggression ect. This is to ensure that the correct steps are taken to prevent any potentially issues and keep the dog, myself and the public safe. I will also need to know how well trained your dog is and if it has good recall. I will not allow dogs of the lead until a good relationship if formed even if they have good recall. If they don't it's OK, I can keep them on the lead.

A typical day

As I love walking and being outdoors the locations will vary. Although I will charge for a 1 hour walk, it is likely your canine will be with me for two hours (to include travel time). If your dog gets car sickness or doesn't like the car then a local walk can be arranged. I will visit a range of locations including the moors, woods, beaches ect...
