Pet care experience
Hello! I will be available for walks and drop ins in Yorktown beginning on MAY 20TH, 2024. I will be unable to accept booking requests until that point, but I look forward to hearing from you then! I have two high-energy terriers of my own (with a very active social media account!) and have had dogs my entire life! One of my favorite pastimes is to walk them and care for them. I have many years of experience caring for and training animals; I even groom my Scotties myself! As something of a helicopter dog mom, I know how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to place in charge of your fur babies. I am happy to help you and your pets however I can!

Because I live in an apartment and have two dogs of my own, I am unable to care for pets in my own home. To be sure I am caring for your babies fully and completely, I would prefer to have in-person or video meet and greets before starting any service. It is important to me to know habits/routines of your pets, likes/dislikes, comfort around strangers, comfort around other pets, and training background all before beginning.

For walks, I am most interested in knowing how your pets do with others. My tendency is usually to avoid other dogs/strangers on walks for safety purposes! I also would want to know what training your dog has (if any) and how I can best support them. For drop-ins/house-sitting, it’s important to me to understand your pet’s eating, playing, potty, and medication routines so I can make them comfortable!
A typical day
I love to match the energy of the dogs I walk! If they want to move quickly, we will! If they prefer to sniff and slowly explore, that is also a great way to expend energy. I am comfortable walking up to two dogs at one time.

Availability
I am a full-time graduate student at ODU and currently have full summer availability to care for your pets at any time of day, be it weekends, weekdays, or summer holidays! When it comes to house-sitting, I will often need to be able to pop home periodically to walk my own dogs/complete other Rover walks. When booking house-sitting with me, it will likely work out best if I am within a 15 minute drive of your home and if your pets can handle being alone for a few hours of time!
