Pet care experience

I am an animal lover who grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals large and small. I am a former program director for Austin Pets Alive, an animal rescue organization in Austin, TX. I worked at a dog training and boarding facility called Buddy's Chance, where I studied operant classical conditioning and dog behavior. I have also volunteered hundreds of hours of my time to help in the surgical room of a low-cost spay and neuter clinic. I have a great deal of experience watching dogs with medical problems. I once cared for a disabled chihuahua mix before and after his back surgery, as well as during his physical therapy. I currently have two dogs of my own.
