Short & long term care in your home

Pet care experience

Hello :) My name is Sarah. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri and have experience in criminal justice, healthcare, and business management. I am self-employed, which allows me the freedom to pursue my true passion of animal welfare. I have significant experience with dogs, cats, reptiles & amphibians (green iguanas, chameleons, bearded dragons, corn snakes, red-eared sliders, hermit crabs, fish, and shrimp), rodents (rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, guinea pigs, and rats), small birds, and some exotics (ring-tailed lemurs and snow macaques). I can also provide basic care/feeding for farm animals including horses, goats, and chickens. I currently have a diverse group of fur-children that continue to teach me every day! My oldest dog is a terrier mix - he was abused by his first owner, and once he gained my trust, opened my eyes to a world of a separation anxiety in canine companions. As can be expected, I am familiar with timid dogs and am willing to discuss any special concerns you have with yours. My second dog is a big, bad, ferocious pit bull who can frequently be found cuddling with my oldest cat. (Read: I do not believe into the hype and stereotyping of certain breeds. In fact, two of my dogs make the "top 10 most aggressive breeds" list -my pit and my...) Third dog is a husky. Shedding, shedding, and more shedding! I have no problem brushing your dog multiple times a day or tidying up your floors because I have it down to an art! :) My dogs are extremely hyperactive (walks anyone? fetch?), love to jump up (I can either hug back or discourage) and love kisses (bring on the slober!). Please let me know the type of pet(s) you have, services you are interested in, length of care needed, and any special requests! In addition to lots of love, the following is included with each visit depending on needs: feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, medication, play time (indoors or in backyard), brushing, emptying litter boxes, basic home/yard care, adjusting lighting, etc. Add-on services: Other house-sitting services are negotiable upon request, including indoors & outdoors. ***PLEASE NOTE***: Discounts may be available for extended trips. I will do my best to accommodate your needs, the needs of your pet, and the needs of your wallet. Please do not hesitate to ask!

Sarah was wonderful!!! I was gone for a week and had spotty cell service, but she sent updates and pictures every day which made it easier to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing my pups were in such good hands! I can tell they were well taken care of in my absence- will definitely use her again, and would highly recommend her!

Sarah was awesome! I have a very energetic dog that loves attention. Sarah wasn't obligated to tire him out but from the look of him in the photo she sent, he had his fill of fun and play time. She was very prompt and professional and the dogs loved her. I will definitely be using her again in the future.

Information Sarah C. would like to know about your pet

I have no preferences as far as breeds or species. I prefer to have a meet and greet with you and your pet(s) before sitting. Some of my initial questions include: Does your pet have any aggressive tendencies? Ie with food, treats, strangers Any special commands? Are your pets allowed on the furniture? If more than one pet: are they allowed to "rough house"? Any special health or diet concerns?
