Part of making them happy is getting to know each and every one of them as a unique pup. It’s so much fun getting to figure out what makes a pup tick, because every one is so different! It’s a wonderful challenge and getting to work them out is so fulfilling. Building a connection with a pup is truly one of my favorite feelings in the world, so I can’t wait to meet your pooch! I have had pets all of my life -- from dogs to hamsters to fish to birds. I started professionally pet sitting about 10 years ago and I have since started my own pet sitting company. It’s been an incredible experience that has taught me so much about the needs of dogs and quality care. In addition to my history as a sitter, I also have experience in dog training and I have attended an extensive, 10 day training course. Lastly, I am certified in pet first aid and CPR, so I am prepared for medical emergencies as well. I am completely immersed in the pet care industry on a daily basis and I try to attend as many events as possible to keep up with the newest trends. That all means that your pup will be in good hands no matter what! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. When your pup is under my care, their happiness and safety are my top priorities. I like to make sure of this by getting to know their schedules and regimens. Dogs are creatures of habit, so I always do what I can to emulate the environment that they’re used to at home. That way, they don’t feel anxious or out of place under my care. I would make sure to send updates to dog moms and dads throughout the service. We have plenty of toys and treats if your pups want extra amenities for their little "vacation." I usually have a few giveaways such as bandannas, treats, toys, etc. to take home for boarding clients too.
