Doggo Enrichment!
Pet care experience
Hi there! I have taken care of/had dogs in my home for 20+ years. They've ranged from 7 lb. Havanese, to mid sized Wheaten terriers, to my 55 lb. golden retriever I have now! I also fostered a blind dog for a year. I am especially skilled in senior dog care and training. I currently work as a Behavior Technician for children on the autism spectrum, where I re-direct maladaptive behavior to replacement behaviors, and reinforce those desired behaviors. I am not a certified trainer by any means, but I have trained all of my dogs using the same logic behind my life's work. If you feel I am a good fit for pet-care services, I will work with your dog on basic commands/replacement behaviors (if requested). I also provide enrichment activities throughout the day for all dogs!

I live in a large apartment with lots of room to play. I do not have a personal yard, but there is lots of open space/grass in my community to go on lots of walks. If requested, I will take your doggo out to the nearby park to walk or run. Dogs are allowed on any furniture and will be very comfortable here! I have a 16 month old golden retriever who is always excited to have doggo guests to play with! Her favorite part of the apartment is the large patio, where she can watch people and bunnies walk by :) If I do have to shortly leave my apartment for some reason throughout the weekend, I have a crate for a mid-sized dog with a blanketed cover if needed. I also have a dog camera where I check up on the dogs, talk to them, and throw treats! We are also 5 minutes from our vet if anything were to happen. I will provide photos and videos of your pup throughout their stay! If you have any other questions/concerns, feel free to message me! I'm excited to meet your precious doggo!

Availability
I work outside of the home during the week. Currently I am only available for pet services Friday afternoon-Sunday. With your dog, each morning I will start out with a morning pee outside. I will then prepare the dogs for a morning walk before it gets too hot. We don't want any burnt paws on that hot concrete! :) Dogs will come back inside to rest and eat breakfast. My golden retriever goes outside every 2-4 hours, but I can accommodate different needs. Dogs can play or rest inside or out on the patio throughout the day. Enrichment activities will be available for mental stimulation. Dogs will eat dinner and then go on another walk at the end of the day once it starts getting cooler! Treats are available throughout the day if brought.
